Why should an employer be required to pay for contraception for anyone?
They should not, but I will say that that is not the sole reason for birth control. For example, I am a virgin with no plans for changing that and use it for other reasons.

Contraceptive meds are also used for some gynecological problems that no one plans to have.

that was my point, birth control is not used solely for birth control, but I still do not feel that insurance should be required to cover it.

Insurance should be required to cover it. It's a Medical issue as well as a Health Issue.

Not me, but it's apparent others do.
Frankly, way I see it if you do not like how a particular person does business do not do business with them and the market will determine if that is acceptable.

I do not know if you have been around with me in debates, but I do not believe that insurance should be REQUIRED to cover anything, moreover I certainly do not feel they should be required to pay for something that for many not all, but for many people could be handled by self-control.

That you want to give businesses the freedom to discriminate.
Yes, if it is my business then I should be able to determine whom I serve ( by the way I am handicapped and as such I benefit from the ADA, but if someone chooses to not be accessiable I can simply choose to take my business elsewhere, and then are plenty of buildings still standing that are not required to have handicap access as they were built prior to 1990.

It wouldn't be news if it was common.
Well, it depends on when something became common and how bad it is percived to be there are shootings every day on the news, for example.
