That actually isn't true. Just getting the virus isn't a big deal, 99.6% survive according to the CDC. The question is who is dying. In that, there is some evidence that genetic make up and ethnic background may play a role. Also playing a role are comorbidities. In that, an underclass is more likely to have untreated medical problems, even in a socialist country like Sweden.

No those nuances do not matter in the scale we are talking about here which was Sweden having 8 times mortality of it’s neighbors and it is pretty transparent and stupid to claim it does.

You're desperate for lockdowns and government control to be proven the right move and yet the statistics suggest that there are numerous countries and US states with draconian lockdowns that have far worse numbers than Sweden. This suggests the lockdowns don't actually work and that the virus spreads regardless of government action or inaction.

Expect in our example of three neighboring countries of Sweden, Finland and Norway where Sweden with minimal government control screwed up and had 8 times the death rate of their comparable neighbors with stricter government oversight.

This suggests that government action or inaction is a vital part of successful management of pandemic.

You have yet to point any relevant logical inconsistencies with above statement.

I will give you that no government action will be enough if the populace is anti scientific bunch of idiots who believe the populists who scream loudest and believe every conspiracy theory ever invented while believing the real danger comes from astral sex with demons.

I would think that this hypothetical populace or at least the most dense part of it would also have hard time admitting any of this and would instead resort to excuses instead of ever admitting the truth.
