In my first post I said 25 th was implied. I don’t think your convention theory is plausible, because: there you are dealing with many delegates who are not beholden to Pelosi’s threats. They are there to represent voters which by the way has gone out the window. Joe is no hero in this matter no how many times it is shouted from the roof tops. He was forced out if don’t believe me just ask Jill and Hunter.
It seems you forgot that many Biden supporters were withdrawing their support over the last 3 weeks. It was readily reflected in key swing state polling. Were they "forced" by Pelosi as well?
Biden's who reason for running was he believed he was the only one could defeat Trump. It took a while to get through to BIden, but he eventually recognized this would not be another 2020. I'm sure his closest advistors were sharing poll data. And of course, party leaders are going to express their concerns. Biden finnally recognized the reality of his race and made the right decision.
There is nothing sinister about his decision.
And if he wanted, he certainly could have stayed in. As the nominee, he alone had to make the decision.
