Since you posted a 'funny' icon on my post prior to yours, I feel a bit compelled to ask why? What was said that made it funny? Me judging some as pharisees, or me telling her she might ought to be in another forum? It's been months since I quoted her, and upon reading her post prior, I now wonder if she might not have 'just changed' her signature line since being called on it by me. What I do know for sure, is that I don't see her 'signature line now' prompting me to say what I did back in July.

Hillsage,

Hello Hillsage,
Since you posted a 'funny' icon on my post prior to yours, I feel a bit compelled to ask why?

I do not like how this site has "protected spaces". The idea being a person can literally say anything, and not have to answer for it. I went on one such site and asked why and with what scriptural base do Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, Greek Orthodox, etc. wear strange headgear as if it had any spiritual meaning in the NT.
I was warned for flaming or goading???

What was said that made it funny?

I find on the Charismatic type threads, those who believe in continuing revelatory gifts try and silence those who do not, and sort of accuse them of hate crimes.
I do not believe in censorship. I defend your right to believe what you do.
I also defend my right to oppose what I know as error. I do not want my posts being censored or forbidden.

You sound like a 'brother' from a different mother....you Calvinist you. I firmly believe that no one has 100% correct doctrine and agree with what you said. I am a Crazimatic (sic) Christian, I confess. ;) But I honestly don't think I've ever tried to, as you say, "silence" or "accuse of hate crimes"...I do think they're wrong and I'm right, no doubt. I do prefer a 'loving' debate.

Mmmm... well this happened this week...

Dear friend of 33 diagnosed with cancer.

Two Tuma's in her thyroid.

She confessed sins. We prayed with oil for healing.

Pre op biopsy, cells extracted Malignancy confirmed..

Initially facing a wait of several months for operation.

Doors opened very fast, she had op yesterday.

Pastor also prayed that if they took the thing out there would be NO cancer.

Results from post op biopsy NO CANCER.

Hospital embarrassed, in 2000 ops never seen this happen.

Sorry I cant keep my 'story telling' and imaginations in check.

Welcome to PM me for copies of medical records - have permission to share this...

She will publicly testify in church Sunday.

He is on the move again despite our clever theologies.

All praise to Jesus.

I prayed for a boy at a Church meeting who was having grand mal seizures.
I did that once. I was in a restaurant and this kid was going into a seizure. My dad was there and he was a pediatrician, so he was paying attention to what was going on. They had taken out some sort of helmet to put on the child for protection. I did construction work at the time and I was hungry and I was not happy about the disturbance. So I prayed that disturbance right out of that child. The parents quit trying to put that helmet on. Everything just went back to normal and people went back to eating their meal.

I remember once I was in a church service in a small church. There was a girl there that had downs syndrome and she started to create a disturbance. I realized it had nothing to do with her syndrome. It was just Satan trying to create a disturbance. They were trying to calm her down but I just prayed it out of her and she went back to what was normal for her and we went on with our church service.

Faith in what? The Medical industry? Big Pharma?
If Science had all the answers and all the solutions then I would devote my life to serve Science. God has ALL the answers and all the solutions so I Serve God. He can use whoever He wants to use. If He wants to use the doctor, If He wants to use my wife or even If He wants to use me.

I would really love to pray for you' By this we knew what was going on - there were brothers and sisters worshiping and falling down - they had 'discerned' that the baby's crib was spiritually unclean and has burned it - all manner of 'ministry' was happening.
I saw this during the so called: "laughing revival". Once on TV Oral Roberts son was trying to sing a song to worship and praise God but could not because he was rolling around on the floor laughing. He lost support and went off of the TV soon after that. This is why we are to pray for the gifts of discernment to know what is of God and we are to pay for the gift of interpretation. "strive to excel in gifts that build up the church. Therefore, the one who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret." (1cor14:12)

Here we go again...

Yesterday I had to take a German backpacker to hospital with acute tonsillitis.

He had a roaring fever, hot and cold sweats, raging sore throat, dizzyness.

They gave him paracelomol and brufen and a script for antibiotics.

But...

I prayed for his healing in the waiting room.

Usually it would take about 7 days to clear up.

So we agreed to delay the antibiotic for one day.

within 5 hours his temp dropped to 37 and this morning 36.

He is feeling really well but we will continue to monitor his temp.

My wife is a nurse with a degree in health science so we are in good hands.

So friends - please pray for the sick and give Him a chance to show who He is...

and pray for the salvation of Titus, my German backpacker friend with whom I am sharing the gospel.

He knows God intervened.

I will pray...

There is no knowing why Jesus intervenes only in some cases but I know we are directed to pray for healing...

May His Love envelop you and draw near in this time.

Carl & Cassia and others, thank you for your vital testimony.

The overall package that Christ wants us to have in these crucial moments is not solely about the unexpected remissions as others (not you) said. The bulk of christians had the bread snatched out of their mouths because they were told they didn't need to carry on repenting nor to intercede sincerely * for each other and their pastors and teachers, and for the good angels to jog the elbows of our political and big business leaders right (stay their hands from any wrong).

II Chr 7:14 is addressed to believers not to the outer public. Jesus will ask why did we listen to those that told us not to. Rev 3:20 is addressed to already existing churches.

Thank you for the image of the angels leaning on their swords.

This is where the spiritual entity partly resides.

Funny how Sunday morning rock concerts have ceased (among many other sorts of things). Or compulsory eucharist. We had to put our "sacrifice" down and seek out our brother.

* As I'm inarticulate I repeat the Lord's Prayer under my breath almost without stopping.

Dear Friends,

I am really puzzled about the almost complete absence of a central aspect of Jesus ministry in the Christian world today.

When Jesus broke into the world He immediately demonstrated spiritual authority over powers and principalities that were binding peoples lives with sickness, disease, mental illness, physical deformity, etc. in fact He made a point of sending a message to John the Baptist that these things were happening as evidence that the Kingdom of God was being manifest with Him the awaited Messiah.

These signs were also present in the early church and believers were expectant to see even greater things than those evidenced in the ministry of Jesus.

Today the prevailing world view is that these conditions should not be considered to have a spiritual aspect, a clear denial of the Word of Jesus.

This is not only a position held outside Christian circles, but inside as well.

Some folks have even invented a theology to account of the absence of the ministry of Jesus in their midst.

My journey has been quite different. Jesus was my 'childhood hero' and I longed to do what he did. This led to a radical wilderness walk and He allowed me to go down - down - into depravity, in order that I might see first hand His Saving power and authority in my own life.

Being a rebuilt prodigal son, captive for a time by the demonic, I can now clearly see the true nature of the battle.

After seven years of prayer and restoration, and more than five years of constantly reading Scripture I was finally ready to step out with His presence and simply obey His Word to pray for others.

My testimony is to Honour Him alone as without Him there is nothing.

I prayed for a complete stranger in a park who had been in the RCMP drug squad was shot in the legs 11 years back and couldn't walk flat on his feet. Jesus healed this man in a few moments and as he walked up and down praising God and trying out his new walk. I was literally jumping for joy.

I prayed for a boy at a Church meeting who was having grand mal seizures. His parents met me 18 years later to confirm he was fully delivered and healed from that day.

I made a cold call on a Pastor who I had never met - as a complete stranger. As we prayed he slipped to the floor holding his throat pleading for prayer. Jesus showed me how to pray and deal with the spiritual root of his problem. His ministry was transformed as a result.

His spirit urged me to drive urgently to a house in Jerusalem, where I prayed for a lady having a heart attack, her auntie had died of the same symptoms at the same age. She was crying out not to be taken as her children were still young. She was healed in about two minutes. Again her condition had a spiritual root. We followed her progress for some years and there was no relapse.

These are a few of many wonderful incidents of being called to partner with Him that His Glory be seen.

These events do not happen every day - reading Paul one might think he was experiencing such things regularly when in fact his story spans many years.

So I simply want to say that His intent is that our lives have the excitement of seeing Him move. It starts with being completely sold out to Him - not fearing total commitment - but through obedience seeing His order established in our lives. Simply obeying His word, praying for the sick and leaving the results up to Him.

I don't see it as being a special gift - He is the special gift. Where He is, the Kingdom signs are manifest.

With me, these wonderful experiences are generally happening in the world, not in the church.

I am largely unknown but at 72, I need to encourage others that we can partake in His work, it is more than a dream.

Lastly, I am not a flake, my day job is associated with the aerospace industry, I am happily married with 5 children, my wife is special partner with deep faith in Him.

Bless you all,

Carl Emerson.

i definitely don't see you as a flake. far from it.

you say you were cpative to the demonic? in what way? (apologies if that is too personal a question- feel free to tell me to shut my face and go way or whatever). reason i ask is because i have had some experience with the demonic in people around me
