That article states that "Clinton was one of nine cabinet members and department heads that sit on the CFIUS, and the secretary of the treasury is its chairperson. " So the statement is true. And she's the only one who stood to gain $145 million personally.

To summarize, your own article says that yes, she did agree to the sale. And she got quid pro quo. The only thing which was wrong, which wasn't ever stated, is that she wasn't the only cabinet member to vote on the issue. Not surprising, is that?
