THis is the prayer of Jabez, with a rainbow. I thought it appropriate, as rainbows are a symbol of God's immutable promises, that do NOT change. And it's also a BEAUTIFUL, prophetical reminder that God granted Jabez what he requested, just like that. It's not a well known story or studied often, but it's one of the most beautifully redemptive testimonies to how our God can turn the tables so surely on what appears unchangeable. Here's the verses about Jabez's prayer in the version that i dearly love. This one:

"But Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him in sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, If thou wilt bless me in deed, and enlarge my coasts, and if thine hand be upon me, and thou wilt cause me to be delivered from evil, that I be not hurt. And God granted the thing that he asked." ~I Chronicles 4:9-10

I have nasopharyngeal carcinoma (diagnosed Nov 2010). My treatment would probably have been somewhat like yours. I hope that you are doing well and I will add you to my prayers.

Sorry to hear that, hope that you are doing well too.

I see my oncologist the end of this month, this cancer has returned from the first go around of surgery and aggressive chemo; this time two years later since the cancer went into remission, it came back, this go around it was 28 radiation treatments, and 5 weeks of weekly doses of chemo.
