hmmm after thinking of things.... she may have actually been simply complying with police orders. Police tend to order people to put their hands behind their back when they are arrested, and they often don't cuff them unless they think they are threat or are likely to run away.

Unlike her 400+ fellow congresspeople, she's the one who's always making headlines for doing or saying whatever. I bet most people can't name any other district representatives. But it seems I hear about AOC as much as I hear about Kim Kardashian.

No - she was not arrested - but she sure wanted people to believe she was - it is a fabrication and she staged it, then passed it off as fact.

The Bronx and Queens Democratic lawmaker was gently escorted away by a Capitol Police officer — along with fellow city Rep. Carolyn Maloney — after blocking traffic outside the court building.

AOC kept up the charade of being restrained for a few steps before raising her fist to supporters watching from the sidewalk.​
