It’s Time to Bomb North Korea

You are right many will die in a war (hundreds of thousands) if we attack today but how many can die tomorrow if Kim gets his hands on nuclear weapons and launches a nuclear strike? Both Kim and defectors have claimed that he is capable of starting a nuclear war. Let's take NK's at it's word.

But the question is whether Kim Jong Un would strike first. As long as he doesn't believe the US will strike him first, probably not.

Listen folks. There is no war to be had with North Korea. None. Their military is essentially under nourished and, if it came to war, could NEVER EVER feed itself. Their people in power KNOW this, which is why they haven't bothered with any naked "boots on the ground" intervention into South Korea in decades (and the one little thing sounds more like a joke from the 70s).

The Kims want power. That's all. They are NOT dumb. They know that as SOON as that bomb would be launched from them, they'd be at LEAST as good as ruling over rubble if not just straight up dead.

This idea that dropping a bomb on the Norks will lead to peace is utter foolishness: This is not '45 Japan in the middle of wartime.

I lived for 4.5 years and continue to have many friends who live in South Korea. Koreans are ANNOYED by Norks more than affraid of them. You would see that Koreans only REALLY became AFRAID (in terms of a % of their population) of the Norks when Trump came to power. Having one annoying nut job as a neighbour that you've known for a while, is manageable. But tossing a second one in to the power equation makes things FAR more scary. Are they afraid of Trump? No. But do they trust his judgement? Absolutely not.

North Korea does not have the ability to wage a successful invasion of the south, that's true. They don't have the logistical "tail" it would take for an invasion.

However, they do have the ability to hit Seoul brutally hard and create a few months of chaos with special forces attacks. It would be a very nasty, short war with the ROK ultimately prevailing. If the DPRK starts it, and if the US and ROK convince them that their border is sacrosanct, the Chinese won't get involved.

All links you provided are biased. Good try but the reason why kids are hit is because Palestinians terrorist use kids as shields (or in many cases kids attack soldiers) as thats why they have used schools, churches and crowded neighborhoods to launch rockets in to Israel. Israel has given land back when trying to make peace just to be hit by rockets from the land and they took the land back. If you want to make a thread I can provide lots of credible sources on the subject.

He already has nukes and they cannot simply be wiped out with air strikes due to mobile launchers.

I believe NK already has a nuclear weapon and can do exactly what that crazy leaders says. I'm no military expert but truly we are at a place in time where putting off dealing with this issue has come to a head.

Whatever the top military commanders suggest is how it should be dealt with. Congress has cost a lot of "failed war" efforts through their political partisanship and stood in the way of the only branch of government which should make the final decision.

I said, "active duty." My implication was that a legionary could not continue his duties as a legionary.

And, btw, I'm convinced based on what we know about standard Roman military practices that Cornelius was a retired centurion, continuing to live and have a family in the area of his last duty.
