  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Anyone who is not in Christ is lost, no matter what the religion is they claim to follow. And anyone who rejects Christ and dies, will be eternally lost. There is no second chance after death (Hebrews 9:27). Even within Christianity itself, there are those who are deceived, believing they are saved by their own righteousness and good works. It is the ignorance of God's moral Law that leaves them with the delusion that their good works commend them to God. However, Scripture tells us that the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord (Proverbs 21:27).

"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles." - Romans 1:18-23 (emphasis added)

Preach the word for them Sister!!!:amen:

Only with convincing evidence.

Spoken like someone who falsely thinks that people are trying to convince him. You could have absolute evidence of GOD(as you DO) and STILL go straight to hell because of the hardness of your own heart as you so eloquently demonstrate.

Wow! ALL Christians can read minds?

We don't have to read minds where God has spoken.

What am I thinking now?

Got me. Maybe you're wondering whether to have the tuna on rye or the reuben? ^_^

You would if someone has presented you with the truth.

zaac, all you are doing is comparing what you believe to be true with the statement made of another Faith - and as they differ from your own belief, they are declared false. In others words, simply, I'm right, they say something different, therefore they are wrong.

So no, you DO NOT know any such thing.

And if you appeal to your own "experience" of the truth of your own Faith, well, those of other Faiths appeal to their experience, which they take as authentic.

We should all seek to grow, not just in allegiance to creed, but in the opening to grace, where all is gift.

So according to you God gaveus reasoning to send us to hell and only those who blindly follow will be "saved" from eternal punishment. Wow that's like your god is saying " sorry you used the brain I gave you, that was wrong, here is hellfire" and what about all those kids born to Hindus and Muslims and etc... That are good peole who do good but were taught " the wrong thing" as a child? Not everyone will hear the Christian message in their lifetime. They just go to Hell? Your reasoning doesn't make sense in the context of an all loving God my friend.

That's the type of statement that someone who says they know Jesus Christ would make but all the while they are really bowing in allegiance to one of those other many false gods.

So no, you DO NOT know any such thing.

Again, those who worship at the feet of false gods may not know any such thing, but I sure do. Got it straight from the ALL-KNOWING.

And if you appeal to your own "experience" of the truth of your own Faith, well, those of other Faiths appeal to their experience, which they take as authentic.

^_^ What do I care about experience? My experience, beliefs, feelings, wants, or desires don't mean a hill of beans where GOD has spoken.

That's part of the problem with folks and their experiences. They actually think God is trying to meet their experiential grasp of what they think truth is.

We should all seek to grow, not just in allegiance to creed, but in the opening to grace, where all is gift.

That was a bunch of nothing wrapped in a bacon casing of more nothing. If you're not allegianced to Jesus Christ the only thing you're growing in is unforgiven sin.

Also Islam teaches absolute truths. One God, five pillars, 6 things you have to absolutely believe in to be Muslim. There are 39,000 sects to Christianity which is the true one? Islam has a few sects but differ in things that aren't vital. For instance women wearing hijab or the abaya, people may make a big deal out of it but it's not of primary importance, it's a secondary notion, Christianity differs in core beliefs between sects. Like I asked a Christian pastor if you are in one spirit why so many conflicts? Even between born again Christians, once saved always saved or not, signs for today or a thing of the past? You would think these kinds of things would be set in stone among at least the born again Christians.

Right where HE says it is.

I don't know. You still might be deceived.

Oh you know. The only deception taking place is that you 're listening to the same deceiver that Eve listened to in the garden.

I went with the chicken noodle soup.

Watch the sodium.

Right where HE says it is.

As long as no one is surprised that is not at all convincing.

[quot]Oh you know. The only deception taking place is that you 're listening to the same deceiver that Eve listened to in the garden.

Maybe that's what the deceiver wants you to think.

Watch the sodium.

People hate me because I can eat a cheesesteak for lunch and half a pizza for dinner but my cholesterol is normal, my blood pressure is on the low side, and I am underweight according to the BMI chart.

Also Islam teaches absolute truths.

You wouldn't know cause the foundation for Islamic truth is lies

One God, five pillars, 6 things you have to absolutely believe in to be Muslim.

Right up there with Scientology, Mormonism and the rest of the false teachings.

There are 39,000 sects to Christianity which is the true one?

Not a single one. There is One Christ and Christianity is based in HIM, not a sect. We follow Christ, not a sect.;)

Islam has a few sects but differ in things that aren't vital. For instance women wearing hijab or the abaya, people may make a big deal out of it but it's not of primary importance, it's a secondary notion, Christianity differs in core beliefs between sects.

The core beliefs of Christianity are what Christ says they are. The sects don't get a say so.

Islam differs whenever Islam wants to differ. Thus all of the fatwahs and hadiths that get written and changed to accommodate whatever brand of truth the different sects want to believe on any given day.

Like I asked a Christian pastor if you are in one spirit why so many conflicts? Even between born again Christians, once saved always saved or not, signs for today or a thing of the past? You would think these kinds of things would be set in stone among at least the born again Christians.

And you would think that you believe that because Islam focuses so much on what Muslims are doing and how the Muslim standard is often set and reset by human Muslims, that that you think Christians look to Christians as their standard.

The standard for Christians is Jesus Christ. If you ain't aligned with Him, you're wrong.:)

You're still dealing with maybes.^_^ The ALL-KNOWING deals in absolutes.

You're a Buddhist. You again lack the spiritual discernment of the Holy Spirit to tell a follower of Jesus Christ whether or not they are preaching His word.

zaac, when you actually post something that demonstrates you HAVE any spiritual discernment at all, I will be pleased to hear it.

YOU merely COMMEND YOURSELF and PRESUME.

;);););)

People who identify as Buddhists have no standing when it comes to counseling Christians on discernment from the Holy Spirit.

No presuming needed where God has spoken.:)
