Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel.” (Pr 12:15)
The verse is very apt for those who deliberately misquote the Bible.Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Serious question:The verse is very apt for those who deliberately misquote the Bible.
There have been refinements to and variant forms of the giant impact hypothesis, but there have been no radically different hypotheses. So there have been no new moon theories in the last 40 years?
Just call me Genghis Khan.
QV please:There have been refinements to and variant forms of the giant impact hypothesis, but there have been no radically different hypotheses.
Serious answer; I don’t engage in acts of deception of cherry picking documents such as the Bible or a scientific paper in order to twist its meaning so it falls within my world view of events.Serious question:
Would you know if, if It was quoted correctly?
But it's okay to engage in acts of cherry picking certain words in the Bible, recusing to the Hebrew language, then bringing it back into English with a different word in the name of scholarship, isn't it?Serious answer; I don’t engage in acts of deception of cherry picking documents such as the Bible or a scientific paper in order to twist its meaning so it falls within my world view of events.
Ironically this would only be true in your fairytale world which is a product of your deliberate butchering of the Bible where Jacobean English becomes the original and universal language. But it's okay to engage in acts of cherry picking certain words in the Bible, recusing to the Hebrew language, then bringing it back into English with a different word in the name of scholarship, isn't it?
And how did that happen, seeing as Genesis was written prior to any Hebrew ever existing? In the real world however Jacobean English or Early Modern English has its origins from the late 15th century and the Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew and Aramaic ...
Either that, or it had its origins on Earth in the Garden of Eden, was removed at the Tower of Babel, then made a brief comeback to give us the King James Bible. In the real world however Jacobean English or Early Modern English has its origins from the late 15th century ...
Because Abraham was the first Hebrew. How do you know it was written before Hebrew existed?
As the saying goes Houston we have a problem. And how did that happen, seeing as Genesis was written prior to any Hebrew ever existing?
Once again you are contradicting the Bible.Either that, or it had its origins on Earth in the Garden of Eden, was removed at the Tower of Babel, then made a brief comeback to give us the King James Bible.
Moses compiled the many books written into one book, called Genesis. As the saying goes Houston we have a problem.
In Genesis Noah predates Babel but the name Noah is translated from the Hebrew name “Noach” and the Babylonian word "nukhu" both of which means repose or rest.
Hebrew and Babylonian are classified as Aramaic languages.
According to you Aramaic languages did not exist before Babel so how do you explain Noah’s name with its Aramaic origins turning up in Genesis prior to Babel?
So what? The novelization of the first Star Wars movie claims it was written by George Lucas, but it was actually written by Alan Dean Foster. Just because a text claims to have been written by a particular person, doesn't mean it was.Moses compiled the many books written into one book, called Genesis.
That's why it's called "The First Book of Moses."
So Houston doesn't have a problem.So what?
