Who said He is? It's really simple. Different groups can believe different things about the same entity. How many denominations of Christians are there? All believing slightly different things about God, but I don't think anyone seriously suggests they worship different Gods.

There is only one God. Some religions describe Him less accurately than others. He reveals Himself to us most perfectly in Jesus Christ. Many seek to link Him to their own evil ways and will have to face His judgement for doing that.

And the Sikh also have a holy book that describes God, it's called the Guru Granth Sahib.
They just think different things about him than we do.
What about Buddha? Is that really just another name for our Jehovah?
Can we really call Him whatever we want to and give Him the attributes we see fit?

It's as valid a religious theory as any other. I mean, when you consider there are people out there who believe stuff like "Global warming is a conspiracy to allow Obama and the Pope to make Sunday worship mandatory ", Unitary Ecumenicalism seems quite sensible!

That's what going on though with the World Council of Churches and others under the leadership of the Catholic church... evangelicals already proclaimed the protest with Rome is over. Now the RC is making overtures with the other, non Christian, major religions. They will all proclaim love for the same god...

The god of Islam, as was posted early on, Allah is the Arab word for god, has something like 1000 names. No, he's not the same as that of the Jews - Christians God.
The Arab faith god did not have a son. That deity does not offer grace to his faithful to allow them to repent of their sins because those aren't recognized as such in his faiths. Rather, the faithful to that god are in a works based tradition and it is their Allah's will that decides if the dead believer enters paradise.
The Allah faithful also do not believe Jesus died on a cross, arose from the tomb, or was the only begotten son of Allah, and is the only true source by which the faithful return to God.

Being Islam was invented long after Jesus passed his message to his Disciples and returned to Heaven so that the good news could then change the world he came to save, if the 1000 names were the God that begat himself as Jesus was that which spoke to Muhammad hundreds of years later, he'd have to have renounced everything he'd set his only begotten son to do on earth hundreds of years prior.

Yahweh doesn't lie (Num 23:19) so He's not going to tell one group love everybody (Mark 12:30-31) while telling another group the opposite.

Well that's their very grave error.
I'm not a Catholic or Protestant and I hate the division with a vengeance,
but we're not doing anyone any favors by lying to them!
