So, if I read your "story" correctly, "American boys are gassing Iraqi women and children."
Is that what you are saying? This is incredible. This reminds me of the unsubstantiated lies that were told about Vietnam soldiers.
How dare you have the guts to post this!!
In 1973, when I became a Christian, the Hippies tried to paint war and warriors as wrong, so I turned my back on a career in the Army.
As a young Christian I accepted their logic. I searched for Biblical support, but I found nothing. The Bible only warned soldiers not to use their office for evil. you can search the word for yourself.
Now, I am older, and I see clearly that some people offer personal opinions as gospel. I don't fall for that anymore.
In the last 30 years, I've come to believe that Hitler, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Osama, Saddam, and a few others are bad men and that they need to be stopped.
Osama and the big boys in the Islamic extremist organization attacked us. We went into Afghanistan and no one questioned our cause. Now, in Iraq, we are accused of all manner of sins.
Most Americans don't study Geography. However, if you did, you would know that Afghanistan is only about 4 hours drive from Bagdad. Since Iraq allowed Osama's boys to train in Iraq, then I would guess that Iraq was another "home" for Osama and friends.
Do you need further evidence? Well, the bombs that the "terrorists" in Iraq are using are very sophisticated. Too sophisiticated for an untrained enemy to create.
Should we have returned to Iraq? Many Iraqi people died because the first Bush administration didn't depose Iraq's Saddam in 1991. Reportedly, many atrocities were committed (by Saddam) against Iraqi minorities. Could that be a bunch of propaganda? Well, maybe. But, in 1991, I watched scud missles land in Isreal and kill civilians. That alone makes him a war criminal.
Oh, as per my instructions in the Bible, I am a staunch and inflexible supporter of Isreal.
Who stopped us from getting Saddam in 91? We didn't pursue Saddam because Washington was afraid that an anti war movement would duplicate the protests of the Vietnam war. Well, this thread is proof that the anti war propaganda machine is still working its magic.
I saw a Marine on television yesterday saying that he had committed atrocities. That's exactly what John Kerry said during the 1969 Winter Soldier investigations. Again, just as in 1969, there has been no research (by the press) into yesterday's allegations. The press are happy to have a marine that confesses to being a war criminal. It makes the news more spicy.
BUt, if the marine has committed atrocites, then he should be jailed and punished. Nazi war criminals are still being hunted, and here is a man that openly confesses to crimes and is not arrestted. In a like fashion, in 1969, John Kerry should have been jailed and brought to trial.
Kerry confessed on the Dick Cavett show that he had committed atrocities. Millions heard him say it. Kerry also told the press that atrocities were a daily event in Vietnam. The press printed every word. Vietnam vets still resent the accusations that Kerry made.
In a Godly society, any war criminal should be jailed and punished. Take them to court, and like the Nazi war criminals in 1946, let them suffer the court's sentence. In 1946 that was a firing squad or hanging.
