So... I discovered that I have scrupulosity. Basically, religious OCD. No professional told me, I looked up the disorder and well, the symptoms, as well as what the disorder was, all of that felt familiar with me, like it was a part of me. I was struggling with a certain issue relating to me, so I decided to seek any solutions to my problem. Some guy on YouTube said in a video that whatever is scaring me, I should purposefully face what ever triggers my anxiety, so I did. The context of this problem was a certain character, so I just looked up pictures of the character, which didn't really work. I looked up more about this treatment, known as "Exposure-Response-Prevention" or something like that. As I read about how that treatment works, I learned that I would have to do what I didn't want to do— go back to that website that triggered me. So, I read that one article that kickstarted my anxiety trigger for the time being, and... I actually feel better now. Am I doing a good job? This is supposed to be the most effective form of scrupulosity therapy, so will this help me? Or will I get this anxiety attack again? If other scrupulosity treatments work, please tell me, and what treatments worked for you guys, if any of you ever dealt with scrupulosity?
