I find this post to be an excellent display of critical thinking - and not an insult to Jesus Christ at all. This post (and the previous statement) is showing the ludicrousness of trying to infer that anyone is "Hitlerian" by drawing comparisons between Hitler and the other person that many people (including Jesus) have in common. If Hitler, Obama, and Jesus were all vegetarians does it mean that all three want to commit acts of genocide? The answer is NO!

The only reason the Jesus/Hitler comparison works is BECAUSE it is so ludicrous. No one (even atheists) would find anything MEANINGFUL in common between Jesus and Hitler, but there are plenty of MEANINGLESS similarities between all men.

True, yet Jesus Christ was also a man. brinny, I have found a respect for you because you do show your true caring self from time to time. In this instance though, I do have to side with the others and say that nobody is stating that Jesus is like Hitler. The comparison demonstrates that any two people can be made to be ideologically connected using commonalities. Having said that, you should also realize that comparing Obama to Hitler in this fashion is equally appalling. Obama, unlike Hitler, has never commited any atrocities. Furthermore, Obama has been trying to make peace and rebuild bridges all over the world. Can we say the same about Hitler?

Try and guess who I am.
I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women.
I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.
Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.

Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my
country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.
I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was time to get
serious about my life and I embarked on a new career.
I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father
abandoned me as a child.
I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40's. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit.
I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego.
At first, my political campaign focused on my
country's foreign policy. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every
opportunity to bash my country.
But what launched my rise to national prominence was my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free.
I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them and if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight.
I called mine "A People's Campaign" and that
sounded good to all people. I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support. I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope', together we could change our country and the world.
So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like the Jews.
My true views were not widely known and I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader. I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they
had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth.

It means that when i run amuck, as i am often prone to do, and i am stepping out of the bounds of the Holy Spirit's presence, i am not pleasing God. I am His child. Because He loves me, as any good father would do, He stops me in my tracks and brings to my consciousness that i am displeasing Him. And me, wanting to please tyhe Father i love, am open to His prompting, and it "convicts" me and i am sorrowful for displeasing Him, and for my nature that wants to do its own thing.

I then ask for forgiveness, and then the people i've offended.

I think you have offended nobody. I believe that everyone participating in this thread believes that Jesus, as man or savior, was a wonderful person who did nothing but good. He was a shining beacon whether or not one actually believes the gospels. Equally, nobody here believes that Hitler was a good man.

lol no one cares about the OP. I asked herbie earlier if he even noticed exactly that. Yet CF will endure countless more threads from herbie stating the exact same thing that he has stated in countless threads previous to this one. Said threads will be ignored by some and derailed by others........like sands through the hourglass so are herbies birther threads.

My hats off to the many Conservaties who have abandoned and/or spoken out agsinst this issue to move on to things of substance. To those few who have the stick-to-it-iveness to perpetuate the birther stuff thanks for the lolz.

Items like the OP are one reason I am rather pessimistic on America's chances of surviving the coming low-carbon era and monetary collapse.

Those who believe the melanin content of Obama's skin is such a weighty issue should wait until the lights begin to go off and food stops magically appearing on the grocery store shelves.

Then they'll have an actual problem to concern themselves with. Of course, they'll waste time blaming Obama rather than working to actually solve the problem. Solving problems is, I'm sorry to say, decidedly above their pay grade.
