Is there two set of rules one in church and one in the world?

Again, it is up to you to supply SOME scripture to prove your point...
I did prove my point...
It is possible I missed it, but what scripture did you cite that proved the point you are making?

If you know of a scripture that backs what you are saying, or trying to say, or trying to get me to say, show it.

Gen 20 NLT

11 Abraham replied, “I thought, ‘This is a godless place. They will want my wife and will kill me to get her.’ 12 And she really is my sister, for we both have the same father, but different mothers. And I married her. 13 When God called me to leave my father’s home and to travel from place to place, I told her, ‘Do me a favor. Wherever we go, tell the people that I am your brother.’”

Genesis: 20. 12. And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

Thanks,good catch.
There are no such things as half truths,Sarah wast technically his sister.

Possibly Sarah was the daughter of a maid servant or Concubine since her mother is not named.

no he did not lie, he walked the line but did not lie.

There is not a lot discussed of Abraham dad, he could have had more than one wife. They worshiped the moon god so really there would be no moral conflict for him in taking a second wife. It can be fun to speculate but it does not really matter.

Just the whole pointing out his flaws and all usually people do that when they are Jealous of some one, i am not say you are, just saying that is what some people do who are.

Is it a flaw to point out someone's flaws?

You rejected it because it didn't say "Abraham was a sinner".

So could you now please clearly answer the question I've asked a few times now? Does Abraham need a savior? If so, why?

Makes it a non-answer. The point is backed by opinion, but no scripture has been cited that says that.

Other people use the same reasoning to say Jesus sinned. I never read scripture to back those opinions either. (My post #115 on this thread)

I did how so?

Yes that is true. Thank you I agree we are to follow God both in worship and in the world. Abraham followed God is daily life he did not take part with what was going on in the world. This is true with Noah as well. There is a lesson in the story of Noah, he did not partake in the world and was rewarded for it.

There.

Like I said, you rejected it. I'm still waiting for answers to my questions.

... You want to know WHY God says something he did not say expressly. That is why you are not successful in leading me down that path...
Still the issue...
Again, you are applying something I have not said, as if I said it...
God did not say what you are trying to get to... I did not say what you are trying to get to... Cite any scripture that proves the point you wish to make.
Again, it is up to you to supply SOME scripture to prove your point. I am not satisfied with "opinion" on it the point.

I'm not trying to get to anything at this point. I'm trying to understand your view. So, does Abraham need a Savior? If so, why?

I fail to see how this is in any way saying Abraham never sinned. I sytand by what i said Abraham did not go to sodom and move there as lot did, he did not do what others were doing in that area but instead worshiped God.

If your asking if Abraham was worldly, no he was not. No child of God is worldly.

John 15 NLT

18 “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. 19 The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you. 20 Do you remember what I told you? ‘A slave is not greater than the master.’ Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you. 21 They will do all this to you because of me, for they have rejected the one who sent me. 22 They would not be guilty if I had not come and spoken to them. But now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Anyone who hates me also hates my Father. 24 If I hadn’t done such miraculous signs among them that no one else could do, they would not be guilty. But as it is, they have seen everything I did, yet they still hate me and my Father. 25 This fulfills what is written in their Scriptures[a]: ‘They hated me without cause.’

As God says no child of God is part of the world, so no Abraham was not part of the world.

So you don't know what worldly means?

why don't you enlighten me.:) actually I change my mind, lets just go to the dictionary shall we.

worldly
adjective world·ly \ˈwər(-ə)ld-lē, ˈwərl-lē\
: of or relating to the human world and ordinary life rather than to religious or spiritual matters

: having a lot of practical experience and knowledge about life and the world
One goose, two geese. One moose,
two... moose. What's up with that? »
Full Definition of WORLDLY

1
: of, relating to, or devoted to this world and its pursuits rather than to religion or spiritual affairs
2
: worldly-wise
— world·li·ness noun

So the answer is still no Abraham was not worldly.

So the answer is still no Abraham was not worldly.

Then we disagree. Every time he didn't trust God he was being worldly.

Dont know if this has been posted yet, but read this yesterday and made me think of this thread:

Jer. 8

Therefore I will give their wives to other men
and their fields to new owners.
From the least to the greatest,
all are greedy for gain;
prophets and priests alike,
all practice deceit.
11 They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious.
“Peace, peace,” they say,
when there is no peace.
12 Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct?
No, they have no shame at all;
they do not even know how to blush.
So they will fall among the fallen;
they will be brought down when they are punished,
says the Lord.

This is a civil discussion, if you can not be civil please remove your self until you can.

The question I have is, is there two set of rules? Is there a set of rules we follow in church and set we follow in the world?

Well - the answer is NO - There are no different sets of rules. Christianity isn't about "Rules" anyway, but about "Righteousness", JOY, and PEACE in the Holy Spirit. And THAT'S valid whether you're in Morning service, at your job, or chill'in out after dinner.

How you are behaviorally OUT of church, is likely to be who you REALLY are.

Simple as that.

I would say not only do we disagree but God seems to disagree with you also. What I quoted God said we are not part of the world any more when we come to Him. You don't go back and forth between being saved and un saved.

Wow it is so powerful when our Father speaks isn't it. But it seems it might condemn the whole congregation in every church. Edial was right the key is to Love everyone a lot of love goes on in the building of church, but love is lost in the world often. How do we correct this plague on the church?
