According to Science race does not exist. Yet we still have racism. It is interesting with my son that no one has ever guessed that he is asian. They say black or hispanic but never once has anyone ever said asian. So even though there is no scientific basis for race people still get to choose what "race" they are.

In American we have a very long history of dealing with "racism". According the the United Nations and scientific studies it has been shown that China tries to deny that racism exist and so they do nothing to control racism in that country. They are far behind other countries in controlling this issue.

This is the Wiki article on racism in China.

The subspecies of Homo erectus known to the present day include:

  1. Homo erectus erectus (Java Man)
  2. Homo erectus pekinensis (Peking Man)
  3. Homo erectus soloensis (Solo Man)
  4. Homo erectus latianensis (Latian Man)
  5. Homo erectus nankinensis (Nanking Man)
  6. Homo erectus yuanmouensis (Yuanmou Man

My brother, science does not support racism, and neither does Christianity. We all share similar DNA, and if we are Christian, we are all one in Jesus. :) Yes, racism exists, but faith and science do not condone racism, and in fact, both speak out against it, as shown below. So, your son is Asian? What type of Asian is he? I was adopted from Bulgaria (Europe), but am mostly Romani. The Romani people originated from the Punjab region of India in South Asia.

Romani people: Romani people - Wikipedia

Scripture:
Galatians 3:28 (KJV): "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."

Science:
Humans share 99.9% of the same DNA. The remaining 0.1% accounts for our physical differences.

I hope this thread wasn't initiated due to any ill will you might have against @Astrid.
You could just as well started a thread on Racism in Japan - Wikipedia and made the same comparisons.

As a visitor who worked very briefly in Japan for Toyota I was classified as 外国人 Gaikokujin or 外人 Gaijin (outsider or alien).
My last visit to Japan was on a Qantas flight where apart from the flight crew I was the only non Japanese on the plane.
Passing through immigration in Nagoya, the Japanese passengers passed through quickly, I was pulled to the side and escorted to an office where I interrogated as to my purpose of being in Japan.

I'm sure I saw racism up first hand but at Toyota I was treated with politeness and respect except for the occasional humorous barb which reflected the traditional rivalry between scientists and engineers.
Systemic racism and racism on a personal level is a global issue.

Did you like Japan? At least people treated you halfway nicely. Also, what are your thoughts on the advanced technology, high quality manufacturing and classic 1980s-early 2000s anime? Also, Japan is almost 100% a single race sadly.

Not sure what OP is going on about Astrid. If one does not like someone, the ignore feature exists for a reason. :) I have used it myself.

And I saw advert racism in Hong kong. IF there were chinese at the bus stop the bus would stop. But if it was just me and my wife a lot of times the bus would not stop but keep on going. My wife is filipino and at first I could not tell the Chinese from the Filipinos but you can be sure they can tell the difference. There is a reason China is 90% Hans, because they do not marry outside of that.

We had a Chinese Foreign Exchange student. The Chinese students were amazed that I knew as much about China as I do. Japan actually share a large amount of DNA with Korea. They say in every big Chinese city they have their own Matriarch.

My mom was the president of an organization called HIT. Hostiing International Travelers. We worked a lot with the Chinese students at the university here. Even the Council General from NYC came here to thank my mom for the work we did helping the Chinese.

United States is very rapidly becoming One third white, one third Hispanic and one third black. There are 20 major cities like that are more than 50% black. The really neat thing about that is they hate racism and they do not have much racism in them.

The whole point of the thread is that the United Nations is accusing China of being racist. Where they united states has battled racism for hundreds of years and have a lot of laws to protect them. My son is a minority and there can be a lot of advantages in that. He graduated from college debt free as he was given a lot of scholarships. I was surprised when the president of the university gave him $2000 at one time. I think he had a 4.0 that semester so that may have had something to do with that. Not that his grades were that good but in Engineering they grade on a curve.

Congratulations to your son, sir. Are you pro-China or anti-China, if I may ask? I am neither, though am leaning to anti-China. China has sentenced Turkic tribes to prisons, same with some Christians.

I love the cosplay in Japan. Some of the women can afford up to $500 for their costumes
That is a lot of money. Some of the costumes are a little skimpy, so I stay away from cosplay or viewing cosplay.

Filipino. As far as the DNA the Philippines is a melting pot like USA. They come from all over Asia. I think he has Mongolian as Genghis Kahn has 16 million descendants today. I can see why Science says that race does not exist. He has so much of everything in him that it is difficult to say he is anything. Other than culture and what he identifies with.

Interesting stuff. He could take a DNA test or something, though some of those tests take private information.

The costumes they wear for their comic book festivals in california can be a lot more reveling.
This was an on going joke on the Big Bang television show.

Are you pro-China or anti-China,
As I said we have worked a lot with the Chinese at the university here to help them and introduce them to the social structure here in America. We had a Chinese student and we were able to help him enough with his english that he went on to get a degree in Engineering. He helped my son a lot with his math. My wife worked in Hong Kong for 9 years.

I am not a sitcom guy, but I see your point.

My brother, you can multi quote, so I do not have to respond to three separate posts. But hey, interesting stuff.

I know next to nothing about anime.
Since I went to Japan as a worker not as a tourist, what I did not like about Japan was the oppressive work culture.
I technically reported to a Japanese boss while in Japan and I had to follow the culture of leaving work when the boss left.
So if the boss decided to work 12 hrs on a particular day you were expected to do so as well and I didn't have much of a say since I lived in Nagoya and worked at Toyota city (yes Toyota has a city named after it).
I would have to pay for my own travelling costs if I decided to leave early.

There is the other side Japanese industry that does not reflect the advanced technology of say an automotive manufacturing plant.
I was to able see some of the Japanese car component manufacturers which was very labour intensive and lacked mechanization.
I'm sure I noticed a lot of migrant workers as well, this was in the 1990s and perhaps things have changed.

People have ended their own lives in Japan, cos the people are overworked there. Nowadays, Japanese factories have become more automated.

For anime, I recommend Studio Ghibli movies, or Yu Yu Hakusho.

This is Episode 1. You can get the rest from the local library on DVD. :)
