I'm not totally sure what you mean but it sure sounds kinda cool, at least as something like a story concept. I understand the bits about the angels, though there's lots of debate on what it practically means.
You raise an interesting question about zombies, though. I think a series of well thought out and high production values video games and TV shows have made zombies particularly popular in the mainstream media though honestly I think that influence has waned since the early half of the decade. I don't think there is any coincidence to be had.
I assume you're drawing a parallel with the "moral downfall of society", but Christians have been lamenting that in all societies since they began. I don't see this one as a ton different. I'm at least happy that we're starting to treat homosexuals and trans people are real people, even though we have a long way to go.
I don't think we deserve hell for existing or being created, if we were indeed created. If free will is truly the problem here, then it was a mistake to be imbued with free will. Though I would argue that large part of our choices and decisions and thoughts are not free but rather the product of factors we did not choose including by not limited to religion, culture, language, wealth, education, family stability, climate and so on.
