This debate is full of confuing assertions. I dont think that most Christians believe man evolved from ape like creatures, yet its been asserted that most christians believe in evolution. IM actually tired at this point of people. ONe debate after another. Politics, religion, science. I dont see how you all can handlke this stuff. Im thinking of remaining a hermit, i dont see any reason to join any gruop that engages in constant contention over these things. It was a mistake for the Pope to endorse Evolution, he only opened the door for more contention, more worldly strife, and i dont think i want to be part of it.

So I guess Poster0 settled on the "all fossils are fake" argument.

I dont care about evolutionist interpretations of fossils are, the fact they draw skin on their illustrations of fossils which is impossible to know along with hair just shows its an agenda. For all we know a t rex could have been the only furry reptile.

"I don't care what the scientists conclude" is not questioning the science. That is just straight up denial. That is a bias.

No what evolutionists conclude, the same way you would ignore what your friend says if he was literally brainwashed into thinking like a nazi. Your perception of them would change to meaningless because you would just hear nonsense from your point of view.

Claiming that you reject conclusions made by scientists because they are brainwashed is a perfect example of bias on your part. Why don't you address the evidence?

Because I would rather talk about logic or philosophy on this matter, we both obviously think differently and wont come to an agreeing conclusion. If you think the kkk are brainwashed whats the difference between me thinking evolutionists are brainwashed. By that logic you are being biased to reject conclusions of kkk ideas etc. I mean are thinking is totally different, how can I come across someone that thinks sin doesnt exist even though humans are the only types of living beings with the want to conquer the world, genocides, racism, wars. When was the last time you saw apes rallying together to wipe out another group of apes that look different.

We descended from ape or chimp like creatures, who lived in trees 200,000 years ago and the evidence is overwhelming and cannot be refuted.

I heard it from an evolutionist.

I doubt it. It is the sort of nonsense spouted by creationists.

All modern humans are traced by mitochondrial DNA to a common female ancestor who lived ~200,000 years (20,000 years either side). These ancestors expanded out from Africa about 80,000 years ago and encountered at least 2, and perhaps 3 closely similar "sister species." There was a limited interbreeding which is still detectable from genetic traces.

All of these people had a considerable technology of stone, bone, and other tools. They had a minor, by significant use of decorative art, and symbolic thinking dating back 300,000 years.

The use of fire and probable stone tools is over 600,000 years old.

None of them lived in trees.

As a technical matter, we modern humans are apes. We have the same teeth order as all other primates (and hundreds of other bone matches), and we lack functional tails. That is - we are apes.

There is no evidence that non-whites are any less human than whites. That's why I reject the claims of the KKK, because of the evidence.

Our thinking does appear to be quite different. I look at evidence and come to rational conclusions. You ignore the evidence and arrive at conclusions with no rationale, no reason, and no logic.

Objective evidence, or idealistic notion?

Piltdown man: Orangutan Man

Piltdown man is one of the most famous frauds in the history of science. For forty years, the fraud went undetected.

Charles Dawson, and amateur archeologist, claimed to have found bones of a primitive hominid (a missing link) in a quarry near Piltdown Common in Sussex, England. Piltdown man was named Eoanthropus dawsoni and was constructed from parts of a modern-looking skull and an apelike lower jaw.

In 1953, Piltdown was discovered to be a hoax, consisting of a modern human skull and an orangutan jaw.

More than five hundred articles and memoirs are said to have been written about Piltdown man. (Nature vol. 274, #4419 (10 July 1954) pp. 61-62).

http://cavern.uark.edu/~cdm/creation/shame3.htm

Wow, you're really off course. It doesn't matter that there was a fraud in the Piltdown man. Science's self correcting mechanism righted the ship quickly.

If someone committing fraud refutes what they supported, then you can't believe in Christianity because there have been tons of frauds there. Ted Haggard, Kent Hovind, Ray Comfort, Jerry Falwell, the list goes on and on. So, why do you still believe in Christianity?

Ah but their is statistical evidence of black people having lower IQ and more likely to financially cripple a nation so why do you reject being racist? Because God given morals that you follow and dont even realize it

That doesn't make them any less human or worthy of discrimination.

No, I reject racism for many reasons. Some include that none of your racist statements are true. There is evidence that poor children come to school hungry, tired and sick. There is evidence that hungry, tired and sick children do poorly on IQ tests. There is evidence that in a racist society, minority children in the USA are more often poor. (Recent data is shifting to better include the "poor Whites" in the Deep South. They are often worse off).

Poor people cannot "financially cripple a nation." Bankers financially cripple a nation.

I watched this and am pretty convinced about the ancient world of giants
It doesn't need much discernment to believe that this man is telling the truth

I sometimes wish I was dishonest enough to get rich lying to creationists. I would be great! I have excellent scientific credentials, much better than the frauds like Carl Baugh, or Ken Hovind. Mine are real degrees from real universities. I could pretend to be a "saved" evilutionist.

I have a beard, too, so I would rarely need to look in the mirror.

But, I just cannot do it.

I went to an all black school that was like 70% black 20% latino and 10% white. At the end of the year for students of the month. NOT ONE OF THEM was black over a 9 month period. Many of them just could careless. They get free lunch and breakfast at school so hunger is not an excuse. Im not even racist I just see facts and will not deny them due to social pressure.
