Several years ago, I took it upon myself, to study the works of a variety of NT historians and scholars. The impact of that study, is one of the main reasons I am no longer a Christian.
Should check out mark Blitz.... Paul studied under stato in Tarsus.... Using their poets n philosophy against the Greeks however Christians think some of His quotes are from Yahweh.... Paul learned that using Greeks philosophy against the Greeks didn't work.... How many languages did Shual know.... 6

Can u calculate the sphere's curvature. Every five miles by there calculations u lose 8" then how come we can see Chicago from the other side of the Great Lakes

Hmm... Holland, Michigan is about 100 miles from Chicago across the lake. So 20 times 8" would be 160 inches or about 13 feet. I'm pretty sure that there are several buildings in Chicago higher that.

n here in California I can see from Santa Cruz the monetary peninsula

It's about 23 miles. So anything higher than 3 feet would be visible from there.

etc etc etc.... We spin a 1000 miles n hour n where is the commonsense in that.... I ask that as a kid, you?

Actually, it's only at the equator, that it's that fast. Gets slower as you go north. That's why they launch satellites as close to the equator as they can get. If you launch them eastward, they gain the kinetic energy from the Earth's rotation, and you can put larger payloads into orbit.

I'm no physicist, but it seem likely that the earth would be turning faster as it reaches the North pole. Like a record spinning. The middle of the record, which is smaller in diameter, would spin faster than the larger outside diameter. The North pole would be the smaller inside part of the record which is closest to the axis, and the equator would be the rim of the record.

You have it completely backwards.

What, you never get anything wrong? Forgive me for being fallible.

No, no. I refer to the wisdom that permits us to calculate the variability of speed of spinning objects. That was not my discovery - probably a long dead Persian or Indian or Greek. But it demonstrates what "mans wisdom" has been able to achieve for us.

I doubt your sincerity. IM sorry I said anything. I'm a bit dyslexic at times. I even spell things backwards. Its a result of many years of depression I think. My mind isn't what it once was.

And I'm still waiting for your example of this wisdom becoming "foolishness" in the light of religious interpretation. I fear the grave will arrive for me, however, before a satisfactory achievement in that regard.

The scripture I referred to actually describes the foolishness of mans self righteousness. It teaches us not to glorify men, but to glorify only God alone. Its no shame to be fallible, and the mistake is in being self righteous.

You are correct, you are not a physicist.
