Explain this then:How could I have looked in a non-existent church ...
Equivocation. Poor argumentation.Explain this then:
Acts 2:47b And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Remember Acts 2? Day of Pentecost? 10 days after the Ascension? AD33?
Where'd that church come from?
So you don't know?Equivocation. Poor argumentation.
Know what? I know you're guilty of equivocation, us there anything else you'ld like explained? So you don't know?
If I take your emotions and memories away, are you the same person?Lol, just because we are remade doesn't mean we get different souls. The essential part is still there.
evidence was presented do you want to attempt to refute it?Um, we ask for one fact for ID, you serve zero then say ball is
in the other court? You sure that is how it works?
That's certainly a big fail. No evidence for the literal inerrancy of the Gospels and no evidence for ID either--just as Bungle Bear predicted. But no one who knows anything about the Roman Catholic faith is surprised. Catholics do not subscribe to either of those doctrines.
The Gospels are accounts of the existence, death and resurrection of Jesus. Why do you need them to be anything more than that? When did the literal inerrancy of the Gospels enter the picture, the Gospels are evidence for the existence, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The Gospels are confirmed by independent historical accounts.
Simply, Jesus was God, He lived, died, and was resurrected. Without those facts there is no Christian Religion. The Gospels are accounts of the existence, death and resurrection of Jesus. Why do you need them to be anything more than that?
Right. But you claimed to have proof of the accuracy of the Gospels and ID and didn't provide any. It's no use trying to change the subject now.Simply, Jesus was God, He lived, died, and was resurrected. Without those facts there is no Christian Religion.
If answering your question is changing the subject, perhaps you asked the wrong question.Right. But you claimed to have proof of the accuracy of the Gospels and ID and didn't provide any. It's no use trying to change the subject now.
Who is taking emotions away? Who said we won't have our memories? Are you just making this stuff up?If I take your emotions and memories away, are you the same person?
Despite your claims to the contrary, you obviously haven't thought through what you're proposing. Perhaps you should have a think before you reply.
As I keep saying, you haven't thought this through.Who is taking emotions away? Who said we won't have our memories? Are you just making this stuff up?
Our soul is the seat of our emotions. It's the whole person.
Because scientists tend to take the brain as central to life, people often construe it as identical with life. This is because the scientific community generally assumes, in practice if not in theory, that only that which is physical is knowable. Scientists believe they can treat the personal side of life only if it is physical.
There are thousands upon thousands of truths about the person that are not truths about the body.
We have bodies. We are souls.
The pages might be good apologetics but is not it is not evidence that can be demonstrated using the scientific method because it is not falsifiable. If answering your question is changing the subject, perhaps you asked the wrong question.

That's absurd. Sad emotions can become joyful even in this current state of existance. We get sad when someone dies, but we can also be joyful for them because they are no longer suffering. If we understood everything and could see how God has worked every situation for good, what would be left to be sad about? Sadness is the result of imperfection and brokeness. You really haven't thought this through. As I keep saying, you haven't thought this through.
If you keep your emotions, you can get sad. That, apparently, would be impossible. If you keep your memories, some will be sad and painful. That, apparently, would be impossible.
Stop blurting out thoughtless blather and actually take time to understand the consequences of what you are proposing. If there are no negative emotions to be experienced, you will not be you.
When a close one dies, for me the sadness I experience comes from Heart experience. I see that as a perfection of what it means to be a more human, Human Being. Feeling sadness when someone dies shows that we are not dead to empathy, compassion and inner feeling and being a Human Being. That's absurd. Sad emotions can become joyful even in this current state of existance. We get sad when someone dies, but we can also be joyful for them because they are no longer suffering.
