Well, in heaven there will be no death, and no reason to be sad.
The thing is, we are living right now, in this world, at this moment. It's now that God should be a reality in a persons life. It's now that we can and should live in the glory. To wait until some after death belief is, well...sad.

What we do in life echoes in eternity!

That's true. It's why Love, Compassion, Empathy and helping those in need are so important for us. Those are all things of the Soul, which is tied to the eternal.

If answering your question is changing the subject, perhaps you asked the wrong question.
There are 134 pages of evidence on the site The 7 Essential Modules - Credible Catholic
Module 4
Proof of Jesus’ Resurrection and Divinity
Here is the post I was responding to:
(emphasis added)

There is no information supporting the accuracy of the Gospels or that confirms Intelligent Design in your link. In fact, I would be astonished if Fr. Spitzer had provided any evidence of ID, since the Catholic Church has rejected it.

Neither the existence of God nor the resurrection and divinity of Jesus are at issue in this forum.

Do you have the right person here in your reply?
I've not ever communicated with you as far as I can remember, though there is the possibility somewhere maybe.

What caused me to respond to renniks post is the idea of imperfection and brokenness associated with sadness as it pertains to the death of someone. I have the hardest time understanding that kind of thought think. So I added my own thoughts.

I'll have a go then .. I think BB's (and my) point here is that with Eternal Joy', there can only be one emotional state (described as 'Joy'). Other emotional states wouldn't be possible under the definition of 'Eternal Joy'.

Also, I think sadness is very closely associated with the intense sense of personal loss. If altruism was present, I don't think that sense of personal loss would be present. Once again all I see here, is an apparent selfishness (or self-centered-ness) motivation(?)

Also, I'm not sure what 'a perfection' of a more human, Human Being' means from your associating it with sadness ... (although I do get that's what it somehow means for you).

Odd. I thought I'd replied to renniks.

Sorry.

The pages might be good apologetics but is not it is not evidence that can be demonstrated using the scientific method because it is not falsifiable.
one question: did you read them and check the footnotes?

I also have no idea what a "perfected" Human Being is. But, I do know that the more Loving, Compassionate, Empathic and helping those in need we become all help us to become more human. For myself, because we are born as Human Beings, that's our true calling in life.

Our best example of a perfected human would be Jesus excluding the miracles.
Or after thinking about that for a moment maybe including the miracles because He was sanctified in His human nature to the point that His relationship with the Holy Spirit would allow Him at least some miracles.

So you're ultimately doing all those things to satisfy some 'need' you assign to yourself then?

It's more of an opening of the Heart sort of thing. I don't think that doing it by assigning them to ones self would work very well.
