it may affect our ability to relate to others which limits our ability to show the gospel. Paul tells us "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some" (1 Cor 9:22) This does not trump our morals (v21) but it tells us to put our negotiable values aside and enter into other peoples lives on their level. if we are unwilling to do this then we risk estranging ourselves to our mission. If indeed it "doesn't matter" then we should be hanging on to these things loosely and drop them when it no longer suits our mission. This may mean adopting flat earth values or dropping them but motivated by our mission.

The globe earth has been proven time and again throughout the centuries.

Claiming the earth is flat by misinterpreting God's word seems like a rather new fad. The Bible does not state the earth is flat, no. Certain people vastly misinterpret God's word to get to that.

Only in the minds of people who believe they live on a spinning ball of water. One false belief (globe earth) just simply opens the door for other false beliefs evolution, aliens, global warming, etc....

However, its true that all massive conspiracies have the same shaky basis - they are practically impossible in any kind of open society in which people talk with each other.

Some are much easier to debunk (like Flat Earth - just buy a telescope), some harder (you cannot personally verify that there are no aliens in secret military bases), but the basic problem with them is the same.

Have you been able to adhere water to the complete area of a rotating sphere. Or Have you been able to during day light hours photograph the moon, out in the darkness of space 230,000 miles from earth. Or have you sent a balloon up to photograph the curvature of the earth without a fish-eye lens.

I am still waiting for at least one flat-Earth believer to explain that belief. It is scientifically proven to be shaped like a ball. Thousands of pictures taken from outer space show Earth is round. I don't believe Earth is round. I KNOW it is.

You say the earth is flat, that the moon is its own source of light, all unproven, unscientific, unbiblical.

The globe earth has been proven throughout history and now, especially through the MANY space agencies who have given us a view of earth from space...fact.

Okay, let's say that there's a half Moon during the daytime. You can see the blue sky where half the Moon is missing. Does that mean that half the Moon is invisible? Or did the Moon deflate on one side for a while?

Now, physicists would say that the blue isn't behind the Moon at all. The sky only looks blue because of light scattering in the atmosphere (called Rayleigh scattering). But what do physicists know.

People still wake up in the morning go about their day and turn in at night. They still read the Bible and go to worship. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Maybe I should stick to flying potato and see if it changes anything.

Of course it matters. If Earth was flat, where would hell be? Billions of people are going to live in what Revelation calls "a lake of fire." What can be comparable to a lake of fire? The extremely hot liquid under the rock surface, of course. We always read hell is below the earth, so if Earth was flat, hell could not exist. And we all know water extinguishes fire, so that phrase cannot mean a literal lake on fire. A flat Earth does not line up with the Christian belief that most people go to hell.

Can you see that the moon is a solid object with craters, mountains etc.? (And therefore also possible to land on, for example).

And if we agree its a solid ball-like shaped object, the famous question arises - if the apple falls, does the moon also fall?
