LOL Invalid. People even use the word racist for prejudice that has nothing to do with race (like religion).

One day in high school psychology my class watched a video about a middle school teacher doing another type of prejudice study. With support from the school's principal, she told students with brown eyes to be mean to or ignore those with blue eyes, but nice to other brown-eyed people, and kids with blue eyes not to be mean or ignorant toward anyone, for the entire next day. The results matched the mental effects of black/white racial prejudice, so the next week she wrote to the American Psychological Association.

Racism in today's terminology can mean just being a white dude. It has nothing to do with prejudice anymore.

Sometimes just having a white skin is enough to qualify you as racist.

CNN must have done a good job twisting the facts if this is true because of the way they reported it.
That is often the case. I got sick of CNN's opinionated reporting a long time ago. Too bad too.... a few years ago they were actually quite good.

He was obviously under the impression they were all immigrants.

And why do you think that was?

First of all, he didn’t say “go back to where you came from” he said “Go back to where you came from, fix that economy, then come back and show us how it’s done! That is much different.

How so? He's assuming they belong to countries based on their ethnicity.

But even if he did say “go back where you came from” (which he did not) are you saying the polish and the Irish weren’t historically told this as well? They’re white!

They were only recently included under the umbrella of 'white'. At the turn of the century they weren't considered to be.

I don't care if you are White, Black, Brown, or Blue...…. if you openly espouse the government of a particular foreign country as better than here in America,,,,,,, perhaps you SHOULD go live in that country so you will be where you think it is better. (No matter WHERE you happen to be born.)

Something about a Mexican-American judge in Indiana not being qualified? I can't remember exactly but the quote set off a national firestorm.
If I recall correctly, the judge was scheduled to rule concerning lawsuits concerning his border wall and the DACA program. Trump accused him of bias based on his race and previous rulings. I don't think that is racism.

Doesn't matter, still an example of whites being told to go back where you came from.

Trump has made himself sound like a racist on multiple occasions, whether he is one or not.
And, if someone chose to take it that way, your own avatar seems to indicate that you are not a Christian for dogs... only for cats. Ya see, anyone can twist anything to be racial or discriminatory if they want to.

This is a clear attempt to offend me. I will not tolerate such comments.

Trump didn't even mention race; his comments though offensive were not racist.
Really? A standard racist approach is to use "code" words and phrases whose meanings are clear to fellow travellers. Methinks the lady doth protest too much.

Either they were immigrants or their parents were

The same can be said about every single person in the US, if you go back enough generations. Fact is that he specifically targeted these PoC.

It's different because he invited them to come back and show us how it's done!

Do you believe that he was seriously suggesting that they legally immigrate to these countries most of them had never been to, attain political office there, and then push through reforms to improve the country, before they had the right to try to do so in the US? Or was it just a cheap attack based on their 'foreign' appearances?

Doesn't matter, still an example of whites being told to go back where you came from.

As they weren't considered white at that point, then no, it wasn't. But what even is your argument here? That if even one white person in the history of the country has ever been told to 'go back where you came from', that somehow means that that is not a racist phrase typically employed against minorities?

Actions are louder than words and you can figure it out by comparing what he did to what he said.

For example, Donald Trump prevented people from Muslim countries in Africa and the Middle East (where whites are minorities) from traveling to the United States. Later, he tweeted people must know English to come here. He also pardoned Arizona sherriff Joe Arpeio, who is notorious for racial profiling and arrested Latinos disproportionately. He said Mexico should pay for a border wall to keep its citizens out of America. Do you notice President Trump is discriminating against non-whites in both his words and actions?
