I don't see where this passage says that the lost are conscious of torment forever. I do see where John 3:16 in your bible says that the lost will perish and will not have eternal life.
Edit to add, I like the passage you posted, it just doesn't support your doctrine.
Soul sleep and annihilationism are not my beliefs, Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's witnesses hold to those.
I think Adolph Hitler is deadInteresting, although completely irrelevant.
Eternal Conscious Torture is not my belief. Muslims, Mormons and Adolf Hitler hold to that.
What really matters to me is what the Bible says. Thanks for turning me to the Book of Wisdom. It also appears to support the doctrine that there is only eternal life for those who are with God and no eternal life for those who oppose God. It's a good read.
Soon they will be corpses without honour, objects of horror among the dead for ever. For he will shatter them and fling them headlong and dumbfounded. He will shake them from their foundations; they will be utterly laid waste, a prey to grief, and their memory will perish.
Wisdom 4:19
I think Adolph Hitler is dead
I thought your belief was that the wicked remain alive forever in hell being tormented. I believe that Hitler is dead and will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Could it be that we both believe the same thing? That the wicked will perish and will be no more?
So is my mom and dad.I think Adolph Hitler is dead

Well, maybe with the exception of Enoch, Elijah and Jesus.Everyone that ever lived and died, both the saved and unsaved, with the exception of the Lord, are dead until the resurrection.
I don't spend my days or nights wondering what happens to wicked people, mostly I hope they will repent and stop being wicked.
Well, maybe with the exception of Enoch, Elijah and Jesus.
Reve 11:
3 And I shall be giving the two witnesses of Me
and they shall be prophesying a thousand two hundred sixty days having been about-cast sackcloths
6 These are having authority to lock the heaven that no shower may be raining[Elijah] the days of the prophecy of them,
and authority they are having upon of the waters to be turning them into blood and to smite the land in every blow as often ever they should willing[Moses].
.

Only a head's up, all those from Adam forward are very alive in one of three places, "heaven," "hell," or still alive on earth. Our bodies are only tents housing forever souls, ie, bodies of course are dead awaiting the resurrection.
Old Jack's opinion
btw those alive in hell are not partying anymore....in torments forever and ever.

Thanks.Interesting response to Timothew.
I can hardly wait to see if he wants to select one of your two choices.
There is a great list identified in the first ten minutes here -- that does not fit your list either.

Oh wait - I see we did not have long to wait for Timothew's response to your two choices.
I just knew it would be interesting.
in Christ,
Bob
Thanks.
I worship God in a Baptist Church. In case anyone was wondering.
Your probably in the minority there in your lack of belief in an eternal hell. How do other Christians there view your belief?
