This is what the Democrats and the media fear the most, the truth as it is displayed.

Trump is assembling a very diverse cabinet with the sole purpose of correcting the government. Most of his cabinet picks are people who have been critical of the agencies they will represent. And DOGE will help in defunding many useless agencies. Musk stated that he wants to save over a trillion dollars in government waste and perhaps use some of this money to help create a new AI infrastructure including electric vehicles. I wonder how many Democrats are going to complain about that.

It will be interesting to see if Trump can pull it off. Already he is facing opposition from the liberal Democrats and media. But I think he learned a valuable lesson in his first four years not to trust ANYONE (Republicans or Democrats) in Washington. In the end, I think all you'll have is a few progressives sitting in a corner screaming about their hatred of Trump.

He doesn't need to hate gays, but he does have to make sure that the people who DO hate gays, continues to be supported in their hatred of gays instead of, daring to suggest that maybe they didn't have to be hated....or then creating legislation that further "protects" them.

I'm suggesting that Trump may not be those things but it can't be argued that he is PANDERING to that.

He's said a lot of terrible things that his supporters just choose to ignore though....and then get angry at people who try to hold him responsible for what he said.

I'm really not sure what you'd want to "lay to rest". I'd posit you'll need Trump to stop saying questionable things if you don't want people to comment on what trump is saying.

Politics are CRAZY polarized and super entrenched. I will assume (though I am happy to be corrected) that you have been a REpublican supporter for quite a while. These are your people and that's your tribe. The left wing is my tribe....that's just how it is.

What's fascinating to me is the group of Republicans who dislike Trump but still support him because of what the Left has said and done. What's interesting to me is that in school, we constantly tell kids that kiddoes need to have their own relationships with people. They can use their judgement and they don't need to listen to friends saying "Don't hang out with that guy. He's a loser". If they like that guy, they should hang out with him, even if their other friend doesn't like him. We each make our own relationships with people.

And yet here we have adults that allow their perception and their relationship to a person be affected HEAVILY by other people.

Honestly, this is a TERRIBLE look for you because I know for a fact that I don't lie nearly that much and it suggests either you lie a LOT, you and the people you know lie a lot, or you don't think lying is a big deal anyways.

I'm gonna posit that I have lied maybe 8 times in my short 7 year teaching career. And while I have a position of power, it's not quite as great as trump....and so the burden of telling the truth is HIGHER on a president. If you had an employee that lied that often to you, you'd turf him. I DEFINITELY would. Especially if he's lying about his performance.

Yeah, this always bugs me. Trump doesn't have anything against legal immigrants, and the people who claim he's against immigrants are flat bearing false witness. Trump is feeding the paranoia about illegal aliens and promising to do something about them in order to gain popularity. But illegal immigration remains a serious problem that needs to be addressed, so making that a top issue is reasonable.

Nope, no sign of him hating gays. He's even on record as being wishy-washy on trans. I'd expect Trump to resist any efforts to outlaw gay marriage. So yes, this is an unfair characterization.
