Yes. Any marriage made under false pretenses is not a valid marriage but a marriage based on a lie.
In any church that practices annulment, this is the rule.
The HE is God.What does this mean?
Do you mean that God tries and fails? Or do you mean Paul tried to reach them and he (Paul) failed? Who is the "He" in the statement?
The Jews also have Talmudic laws about how to do Sabbath observance from sundown Friday til sundown Saturday, the seventh day of the week on the Hebrew calendar. There are 39 types of work forbidden on the Sabbath. It was against the law to light a lamp or candle on the Sabbath. While I was touring Israel, I read an English language web site on the Israeli Internet that stated turning on a light switch on the Sabbath is forbidden because it is like lighting a candle on the Sabbath. Orthodox neighborhoods in Jerusalem put temporary barricades across their streets to block traffic on the Sabbath. The ambulance service operates, but the buses do not. Some non-religious Jews drove on Sabbath, but these might be ostracized by religious Jews. At a hotel near Ben Gurion Airport the elevators stopped on every floor during Shabaht (Sabbath). This was because the Orthodox rabbis decided pushing an elevator button is work. No, the Jewish Sabbath is very different. Read the Old Testament and see the "do's and don't" for the Sabbath Day, which is not the same as the Lord's Day.
Christian doctors work on Sunday, they take public transport, or even drive to get to Church, which is forbidden for the Jewish Sabbath. Exodus 35:3 says, "You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day". So, cooking, hot water and heating are not allowed on the Sabbath Day. Does any of this apply under the New Covenant? Are all Christians who do these, break the very Law of God, in disobeying the Fourth Commandment?
God is the same the world over.We a couple come before the Lord and get married, regardless of whether they decided to have a 100 babies, and then one says no, this does NOT in any way mean, even if they get divorced and have their marriage "annulled", that they were NEVER married! They WERE, is FACT can never be denied to have actually happened. Maybe the whole thing on marriage in Italy is different to the rest of the world?

Hi Deacon Dean,
I know monks who are under the categories you have listed.
They believe they sin.
I think you've misunderstood me.The as yet "future" Pope, Peter sinned at least twice after the crucifixion and Pentecost. One time he was guilty of disobeying God, and one time he was guilty of hypocrisy.
The Apostle Paul was guilty also. He was guilty of reviling a high priest (the Temple was as yet, not destroyed) and also was guilty of disobeying the Holy Spirit.
And here we are some 2100 years later. If both Peter and Paul could not make it just a few years without sinning, what makes people think we can do something that no man in history has done, or will ever do?
God Bless
Till all are one.
God is the same the world over.
No use to continue this conversation.
You could check it out with your individual church.
That's very good.I check out with the Holy Bible!
That's very good.
But if you ever want a divorce, or annulment, you'll have to speak to your church!
I think you've misunderstood me.
I said we CAN sin.
we are NOT the Lord Jesus Christ, so your argument is moot!
If the ten commandments are read at face value and nothing added to them by fanciful theology then keeping them may be possible or at least may have been possible in the times that immediately followed their first proclamation. Is it possible or not to keep the 10 commandments?
If it's not possible to keep the commandments, why do Jesus and also Paul say we are to keep the commandments?
John 14:15
"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments."
John 14:21
He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.”
John 15:10
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
Matthew 5:19
Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:17
And He said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
1 Corinthians 7:19
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.
1 Timothy 6
13 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
The HE is God.
God did not fail.
MAN failed.
God tried to tell us in every way what He wanted from us...
It's US that would not listen and obey Him.
Jesus was the last revelation.
You must be writing this from a prison cellI doubt it, at least not for long.
I know that I have broken all 10.
Only the moral Law of the Old Testament is what Christians are required to keep. the Fourth Commandment is NOT for any Bible-believing Christian, because it was given to Israel. We worship the Risen Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, the First Day of the week, and not the Jewish Sabbath Day. This Command was never reconfirmed in the New Testament.
"Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath" (Colossians 2:16)
The Sabbath was made for MAN. I don't remember Him saying it was made for JEWS. Sunday is fine for worship and to remember the resurrection, but it is NOT THE Sabbath. MANY times in the NT, the Sabbath was kept. Do not add or subtract from the Commandments... Matthew 5:19
