I agree. It helped me.

Before my foot got hurt, during fasting periods I'd do serious running, up to 2 hour runs carrying weights. I usually didn't go completely without food but I ate very light, and little protein. I've never had any problems from it as far as I can tell. I'd agree with the other guy who said skip the so-called "sports drink". Just have water, and if you really work up a sweat have something like a banana or avocado to replace electrolytes.
Here is a link to the powdered sports drink I have been using. Artificial sweeteners make me sick (dizziness and headache mostly), so I can't buy the sugar-free sports drinks. This brand doesn't have too many carbs, so I hope it won't interfere with weight loss hopes.

EDIT: It says it has a "refreshing natural lemon-lime flavor". LOL, no, I don't know what it tastes like but "lemon-lime" didn't come to mind :(

Try drinking coconut water? It has electrolytes in it so you don't dehydrate. Much healthier than the sports drinks out there.
That sounds like good advice. I know some people say water is good enough, but I think the electrolytes are important - even for normal exercise for some people. I sweat a lot LOL
