  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you browse through this forum, you could find LOTS of opinions on it.

My opinion is that, no, homosexuality is not inherently wrong, although it can be expressed in ways that are wrong, just like heterosexuality can be. Was it part of God's original plan for us? I don't know. I don't know if infertility or disability was, either. But, that doesn't mean that infertile or disabled people are sinful or wrong or must remain celibate because they may not be able to reproduce (obviously not true for most disabled people).

Whether or not God originally intended homosexuality for us, it is a fact. Some people are gay, just like some people are disabled and some people are infertile and some people have green eyes adn some people are introverts. And God loves them and wants fulfillment for them, and does not want them to live their lives isolated and alone and without sexual intimacy.

  • It's a good idea to differentiate between stating your opinion and stating a fact.
  • Please back up your statements. One word posts don't really contribute much to discussion. It's not just a good idea - it's a rule.

I fully answered a question in the OP.

Cite the rule you have in mind.

I do not believe that rule applies to this thread.
