  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Is gravity a push or a pull?
I'm told it's a "fall".
Newton says it's a pull, Einstein says it's a push. What is it?
I'm told it's a well into which we fall. Even though I'm not sure why we would fall into the well in the first place without gravity causing us to fall into the well.
It seems like gravity is its own explanation: Gravity is gravity causing us to fall into a well.

What about the bottomless pit? If gravity was at the center of the earth then the pit would have a bottom.

Revelation 20 King James Version
1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

So it should have any relevance to today....why, exactly?
Why exactly? Because God is God and He does not change. The rules are you look at who the Bible was first written for. THEN you look at the message God has for us today. For example Moses gave instructions for a temple they were to build. There are a lot of details and those details have symbolic meaning for us today. There are pastors that are very gifted at helping us to understand what the meaning is of all those details in the Bible. This is why we are so amazed and look at the word of God with so much wonder. God can write a book to a people that lived 3500 years ago. Yet that very same book has just as much meaning is just as true today and we can apply the teaching of the Bible today just as much as they could 3500 years ago. The Bible and the teaching of God is timeless.
