Is God still creating today?

This issue just came to me when I give reply in another thread. I think this is a significant one.

I have heard people of TE gave a yes answer to this question with an elaborated argument. But I was not convinced. TE needs to say yes because in addition to E, they need the T part too. This question spells one of their big burden. But this is, in fact, a side point of this question.

The main question is: If God still creates and continuously creates today, do we have an example of it?

Or, you don't think God creates anymore (since when?)

Is God entirely removed from his creation? Or is it because of God's continued infusion of himself with his creation that it continues to exist? Creation is dependent on God's continued willing of it to exist.

TE suggested to me that God continues to "participate" in everything happened in nature. Or, in other words, everything happened then, now, and in the future, have the fingerprint of His supernatural intervention.

If this is acceptable, does it count as some kind of creation?

Psalm 102:18 Let this be recorded for a generation to come, so that a people yet to be created may praise the LORD.

Psalm 104:30 When you send forth your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.

Isaiah 45:7 I form light and create darkness, I make well-being and create calamity, I am the LORD, who does all these things.
8 "Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit; let the earth cause them both to sprout; I the LORD have created it.

Isaiah 48:7 They are created now, not long ago; before today you have never heard of them, lest you should say, 'Behold, I knew them.'

Isaiah 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy;

Jer 31:22 How long will you waver, O faithless daughter? For the LORD has created a new thing on the earth: a woman encircles a man."

Ezek 21:28 Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites... 30 Return it to its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your origin, I will judge you.

Amos 4:13 For behold, he who forms the mountains and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought, who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth-- the LORD, the God of hosts, is his name!

Mal 2:10 Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why then are we faithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Many of your quotes can be addressed by Gen:2:3

Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Except human who came after Adam, God seems does not create anything after Day 6. The pet thought of TE about the supernatural intervention in our daily life could be easily and reasonably taken as the work of angels, and has nothing to do with creation.

What difference do you think Gen 2:3 makes? How does that say God finshed creating apart from man?

Even if all the passages describe God still creating people and nations, it is still God continuing to create. But it is not just people and nations that are described as still being created, the bible certainly concentrates more on God's relationship with people than other creatures, but as you say it is just 'many' of the quotations that describe God continuing to create people. Many means 'not all', and not all means thare are verses in the bible describing God's continued creation of the natural world, all the plants and animals in Psalm 104, making light and creating darkness in Isaiah 47, forming mountains and creating wind in Amos 4.

The pet thought of TE about the supernatural intervention in our daily life could be easily and reasonably taken as the work of angels, and has nothing to do with creation
1) I haven't mentioned any 'pet thought of TE'. I just did a word search for for create, bara, in the OT and pulled out all the references to God continuing to create. Creationist should really check how the bible uses the word bara says instead of simply relying on what they heard from other creationists.
2) I am not sure any angel could uphold the universe by the word of his power Heb 1:3
3) All of the verses I showed you describing God's continuous creation describe God doing the creating not an angel.

This seems to go off in tangents....

Maybe best to define 'created'? As in, not to be confused with Jesus' miracles or the birth of my son 7 years ago.......

I like to say that the body of your son was not created, but your son was created.

Your son did not exist before the conception in any form. Do you like to think it that way?

OK, I am not going to argue if God continues to create other things.
But, I think you agree that God continues to create brand new human beings, i.e. new people, infants. Right? So, everyone of us is created. Right?
