Your body is not made from those of your parents.

Here I must disagree.

Your very first cell is made of a fusion of your parents' cells. If that isn't from the bodies of your parents then what would be? YOur very first cell. And then until you come out of the womb, every single cell that is added to you until you are born literally comes straight from your mother. The food your mother ate, that she took into her body, was added to you, the not yet born. Sure sounds like form your parents' bodies to me.

Your body is not made from those of your parents.
Your parents do not share their spirits with you.
It is a definition problem. We do not need to know the process to make definitions.

Someone needs to retake Biology. :D

Your body is not made from those of your parents.
It is made from their bodies' DNA. The rest of the egg and sperm that became part of me is made from their bodies too.

Your parents do not share their spirits with you.
Nor do they share their bodies with me.

It is a definition problem. We do not need to know the process to make definitions.
So why do you keep confusing the process by which it is made from the definition of what it is? "Made from" is different to "is".

It is very surprising that you become so literal now. :D
As I keep saying, TEs seem to be much better at understanding the plain meaning of the text than literalists, because we don't need to make the text fit any preconceived idea of what it is supposed to say.

Fine. But those will be gone after age 10 or younger.
Your body is made of recycled atoms.

So you disagree with Intelligent Design that the information in our genome had to be created by an Intelligent Designer.

Your argument has interesting applications for your 'if we are made of the same spirit as our parents we are not an independent person and our spirits cannot be judged separately' argument. If you body has recycled all its cells, then it is not the same body it was before either. Does this mean you disagree with judges imposing life sentences, because if the cells, even the atoms, in your body will be replaced in ten years, then after eleven years of a life sentence they are imprisoning the wrong body? You could argue that a murderer still has the same spirit, but then it is not up to human judges to judge spirits is it?

Interesting argument.
Nevertheless, I am not sure nerve cells will be replaced. Do they live for a life time? At least some of them.
Our parents give us the DNA pattern. But the DNA material is still ours. I am not quite sure what am I talking about here.
