  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

CREATION started with God. He made man in His Own image.

God did not 'start out' as a single-celled amoeba, which finally crawled onto land and then somehow changed from an ape to a man. How simple can it be to take God at His Word?

How does an evolutionary process process glorify God?

OK - time to 'fess up...

At one point in my life I 'bought into' the 'millions of years' scenario, because it didn't seem to change the way I believed in God.

However, after 36 years of watching evolutionists getting caught out in one hoax after the other, and quoting each new fossilized 'find' as being the 'final proof of evolution' (and then quoting that the previous evidence was insubstantial) and watching scientists who have turned to the Bible for the answers their research just cannot give them, and observing the evidence of a universal flood which debunks a great portion of the 'millions of years' theory and seeing things like a fossilized human foot in a boot and trees that were found inside layers of soil that evolutionists say represent billions of years and the FACT that not ONE SINGLE scientific experiment EXISTS which substantiates the evolutionary process (i.e. increase of information from one generation of a species to the next finally clinches it for me.

OK - so now you prove evolution to be scientifically tenable, if you can.

* sigh * There truly are none so blind as those who will not see

Nabobalis - I have nothing further to say. One day, if we meet in eternity, we can look back on this thread and have a good laugh. In the meantime I'll just chuckle quietly to myself.

Off to a more serious Christian discussion. Bi 4 now

I mean exactly what I said. Evolution is a LIE. A child knows that. If you choose to believe that evolution is true, is spite of the staggering odds, that's your problem.

I choose to believe God's Word . Call that ignorance, if you like

i 2nd that!

Children are really good at working out probability and statistics?

I call it misunderstanding God's word, rather than believing it. You have to understand God's word before you believe it, otherwise you are mainly just believing you own opinions.

Maybe we will. But even then gravity will still be a theory and there wont be soil on this planet that is billions of years old (unless humans preserve a sample).

P.S. In a contest between quotes from God and 'Walter A Davis', guess Who wins every time..?

Considering that I haven't seen anyone quoting from God - just a human book called the Bible, inspired by their religious experiences no doubt, but still human - I'll go with finding God's signature in the natural world, in the rocks and stones and fossils and chemical processes of the universe that God creates using evolution, using deep time, using the creative processes of stars etc etc etc...

Either Genesis is symbolic or it's false.

John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" :preach:
If the Bible is just a book written by mere men...how can you put any trust in the fact that Christ died for your sins? Maybe they got that bit wrong too...or perhaps that was symbolic?
Not having a pop...I just wondered how you interpreted Genesis to be symbolic perhaps?...and the gospels to be literal? Or do you think they are symbolic aswell?:)

Written by men, yes; but who was it's author? ;)
