And then you get the Child Victims Act, though that may be local to NY, USA
If you click the small x in the corner of any add then you get a couple of prompts which will get you to Ad Settings. It then lists all the companies and/or sites that Google has determined that you might be interested in. You won't believe how many there are.

Thanx. It appears however that I get generic CF adds with local content I assume determined by most successful click bait for general CF readers. :)

Is the cost of your adblocker less than a first born, if so I am interested.

I'm not using an ad blocker. I suspect it is that (in Firefox) I block all trackers and as many cookies as possible without completely breaking the sites I use this browser for. (You may have to experiment with the blocking levels.)

I used to read this site with a different browser with all cookies blocked, but then it doesn't let me log on properly.

It turns out that a lot of the web-features that are "broken" by reducing cookies, trackers, etc., aren't the parts of the web you are using, but rather the parts that are using you.

This is simple enough. We all know biology and chemistry and geology are fields of scientific endeavor. But what about Astrology? Do you consider that Astrology is a science?
Astro-logy = stars + words (logos)

The suffix "-logy" is the root for the following words (amongst others):

ideology
monologue
lectures
legislation

Accordingly,

Astro-logy = "lectured legislated ideological monologues" to earth from the heavens

Tangentially, the following is what happened the one and only source of any "words" from earth to the stars:

Coincidentally, I watched Contact on NYE.

While Arecibo was the first, it was not the only intentional message to the stars. Several have been sent from Ukraine (now in Russian occupied Crimea), including one that preceded the Arecibo message (but it was directed at Venus).

Even if that was happening, our "modems"* are wrong.

Also havent we been sending them radio and then tv etc for about 100 years?

Not sure what "message" they might be getting tho.

Isn't it interesting that scientists will check once, maybe two or three times, for a global flood, then close the books on it and teach us that there never was a global flood?

But let them wonder if there is life on other planets, and they'll check for about a hundred years for it.

It there was evidence of a global flood, we'd have seen it given we've poked into just about everywhere on the globe.

As for out neighbor planets, not to mention the rest of the galaxy, we've barely even begun to look.

And what would it look like?

Would you stand atop white cliffs and claim there's no evidence of the Flood?

Would you cross meandering rivers and claim there's no evidence of the Flood?

Would you notice there is no population of people nine and a half feet tall around and claim there's no evidence of the Flood?

I think you would.

Certainly. As we've discussed before, there are too many little shells in the white cliffs of Dover for all the animals to have been alive at one time.

I'm picturing alien scientists going "what are 'specially marked boxes'??? We must investigate!"

If you mean before the flood, then I don't see why you're pointing to the cliffs as evidence of the Flood. If you don't mean before the Flood, then my statement stands. It doesn't matter how many generations might live at the same time. There are too many dead bodies for them to have all been alive at a single time.
