Is anyone getting unusual password reset requests?

Tonight I've received four password reset requests from four different websites I use. None of them Christian Forums. They are obvious phishing attempts and I've gotten them before, just not so many over so short a period of time.

I'm wondering if it's part of a Russian cyber attack. Probably a widely outside chance of it but you never know.

I had one today allegedly giving me a new password for a corporate Master Card.

It was a scam obviously.

Incidentally my old Presbyterian pastor was a chaplain in a prison for a while. He said to me once "I often wonder if there's salvation for con men (and by extension con women). They tell so many lies that I don't think they know what the truth is themselves after a while."

I think a similar sentiment would apply to these online scammers.

There's a case going through the courts in Australia about a female con woman named Melissa Caddick, whose foot was found in a shoe on a beach some time after she was last seen before she went for a run. I find it difficult to believe that she did not meet with foul play, possibly on behalf of one or more of her victims. But that's personal conjecture, so I'd better leave it with the court to decide.
