Iran's foreign minister says John Kerry told him about Israeli covert operations in Syria
Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif claimed in recently leaked audio that John Kerry, when he was serving as Secretary of State during the Obama administration, informed him of more than 200 Israeli operations in Syria.

Kerry has previously been accused of colluding with Iranian leaders to undermine the Trump administration. Kerry is now a part of the Biden administration and has a seat on the National Security Council as the special presidential envoy for climate.

Kerry shocked Zarif by revealing that Israel had attacked Iranian targets in Syria more than 200 times, according to leaked audio obtained by The New York Times and other outlets.

Zarif also spoke frankly about his limited power compared to Ayatollah Ali Khameini and the blow the U.S. dealt to Iran by killing Gen. Qassem Soleimani in January 2020.

I have no reason to trust John Kerry, look at his history, if this is true his security clearance should be withdrawn. Israel is not going to be comfortable sharing intelligence with us if Kerry might disclose information to Iran. Our relationship with Israel and our ability to share intelligence with them is significant to our national security.

Given the entire context of the interview where he expressed criticism of the Iranian regime (probably putting his own life at risk) why shouldn't we?

Because it was leaked and edited by an organization that has it in for the Iranian regime.

Has the interview been denied by the Iranian regime?.....No......
Tehran, Iran – A leaked interview in which Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif frankly discusses behind-the-scenes manoeuvres in Iranian politics has stirred fierce conversation and debate ahead of the country’s presidential elections in June.

More than three hours of audio from an interview in March with government-aligned journalist and economist Saeed Leylaz was anonymously leaked to Farsi-language media outside Iran on Sunday.

Foreign ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the original interview was seven hours long, part of an oral history project that also includes interviews with other ministers, and urged people to analyse it with caution as it may have been leaked for political purposes.

Leaked Javad Zarif recording stirs hot political debate in Iran

Iran FM Zarif’s leaked interview draws wide array of reactions
Without disputing the recording’s authenticity, Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman said the recording is part of a seven-hour interview that was not intended for release, adding that the published excerpts did not reflect the respect Zarif has for Soleimani.

“It is not clear who, and with what goals, selectively published [parts of] the conversation,” Saeed Khatibzadeh said, adding that the ministry, if allowed, was willing to publish the full interview for clarity.

Sorry, try again......

Unless they wanted it to get to Iran, which is not impossible.

Why do I need to try again? The Iranian spokesperson said just what I said. The audio has been selectively edited.

Even if he were accurately quoted, this is still not a basis for immediately accepting the statement as true.

How convenient.....you missed this part of the post:

Really? Yes, apparently it is that dude's voice. It is not a fake. I am not asserting that it is fake. But it has been selectively edited.
