I want to say hi to everyone on the Science Forum of CF. I am Storm. I am a Christian.

I have only posted once or twice on this section of the forum and have not made a big hit with the Atheist. But since I will be posting more here, I thought it better if I try to explain how I feel about this forum and its participants. So far I am not impressed. It seems like most of your time is spent with petty arguments. I think both sides, Christian and Atheist, play into this waste of time. I really do not see too much science being discussed. That is not to say that I believe your minds to be void of the concept of intelligent dialogue. You just are not putting it into practice. I hope to avoid that, and instead bring a sense of exploration, light, and love, into our discussions.

I posted on the thread creation vs. evolution. If you read my post you would find, that I do not think anything that is true, can be apposed, to anything that is true. Thus I welcome science into my walk with Christ. I believe we as a creature of God are in a state of continuous evolution. We are learning continually more and more about what it is to be human. That is good. Truth in Science will not turn off the light of faith. It instead will assist the illumination of our path.

But before I get started I thought I should explain what started me off on the wrong foot. I told an atheist that I would not debate him about God. That is true…I will not. I am sorry that he became insulted when I said that he was in the dark and it would be a waste of my time. Please allow me to clarify. It is not that I do not want to tell you of my love for God, because I do. But I will not debate that which I know is true, but you have yet to know. For example…think of yourself outdoors with a blind man, and you are trying to explain the beautiful blue sky. You could spend days and get nowhere. For how do you tell him, who has never seen, about the color blue? Would it not compound your dilemma if he were to argue with you about the blue and tell you that you were wrong? My Faith is so much more than one color of the spectrum. Even a rainbow of the most beautiful vivid colors, would pale against my love for God. Atheists are blind to my Faith because they are blind to the Truth of God. So I will not debate you. Still I very much do want to speak with you and have you glimpse the world as I see it. My faith you cannot see but the words I speak from the Spirit can be heard. So how about it? Can your atheist minds open and allow in a little quiet thunder?

I am not a great scientist. But we all live in a fascinating universe created by God, full of mystery and beauty. I have many questions and thoughts, that I would like you to explore with me, and if along the way…you should see a ray of light upon our path. That is for you. It is your beginning.

May God bless us all!!

Well, since you don't care to debate by your own words, I'll just point to a thing that bugged me.

I have only posted once or twice on this section of the forum and have not made a big hit with the Atheist

I'm confused. Is there only one? Does he wear a lot of different hats, and speak in funny voices to pretend he's really about 10 million people in the US alone?

Or is "The Atheist" like "The Man". As in "The Atheist is keeping me down, man!"?

Thankfully, you should have few problems here. You see, this forum isn't devoted to the existance of God. It's about science, strictly. Evidence. Things like that.

So your faith in God should be darn immaterial.

Now why would you be thankful that I would have problems here? But you are wrong. I can hold my own. For your information God is omniscience.
Evidence to who? Even evidence can be mis-read

But anyway... Thanks for the welcome. See you around! :D

I think he meant that he was thankful that you should have few problems here as opposed to many.  At least that's the way I read it.  Glad you'll be contributing here as well. :)

You stated you wouldn't debate about the existance of God. Great for you. As this forum is devoted to debate, but debate on science and evidence (and not the existance of God) your problem regarding Debate and God won't be an issue.

I was being happy that you would be able to participate in a way that would be fruitful, as opposed to being reduced to merely statements of faith.

Don't worry. We get off the topic of evolution every once in a while, so science does actually enter into the discussion now and then.

Give it time.

Good luck. ;)

Some of the folks here equate evolution with science. If you don't believe former, they "reason" that you can't possibly respect the other, and therefore are not allowed to enjoy any benefits of science. For example, you will be told that you have no right to use a computer again until you sign a notorized document that you believe in evolution and promise to genuflect to your new god, science, and give thanks each day for the improved life it has given you. Or some variant. Consider yourself warned.

Agreed, sort of. Science discovers what G~d did and some of how G~d did it. That's pretty exciting, IMO.

A very wise decision, IMO. I've said almost the same thing, and gave almost the same example.

Don't worry. Nobody else here is, either. Some people think they are. That's the only difference.

Every one, to coin a phrase.

Since when did Creationism become scientific?

You're not big on doing what you say, are you?
