I don't believe that people "go out of their way" to avoid it..

I think that they either don't believe in God at all... or don't believe that infant baptism is scriptural.

I have been a Christian since I was seven... None of my family were baptized until they were in their teens... Then... we had to take a short course (three weeknights) at our church, in order to ensure that all being baptized were educated in what "believer Baptism" means.

AND.. so the church was sure that this was not just some event for someone to go through the motions or not understand the theology behind it.

None of my kids were baptized as infants. We dedicated them to God... but.... we were fully aware that after we raised them in a Christian home with Christian values... they may not choose to follow the ways of Christ..

That... is free will of a human of competent mind.

Oh, and yes... Baptism is "immersion baptism". The individual is fully submerged to represent Christs body in the earth. It is then raised up out of the water... a new creature... Representing our own death from sin and resurrection to being a righteous child of God.

But that seems to be the urging given in posts written by people who are opposed to infant baptism.

Logically speaking, Christian people who think baptism doesn't accomplish anything and that it is just a gesture...ought to be saying to the others, "Go ahead and baptize your infant children if you insist; it doesn't do anything for them, you know!"

It is not unsafe to baptize an infant by triple immersion.

We do it all the time.

This applies to ALL the Eastern Churches.

Where did you get the idea we baptized by pouring?

BTW, NOBODY in the Latin Church baptizes by sprinkling.

Were all the Traditions Christ appointed or were some man made for the "true church"?

Is that the same as saying no baptism, then no Eucharist? Did not God give freely? Does it not also say in that chapter that some were weeded out later, not before?
Yes. No baptism, no Eucharist.

Re
Read what did Phillip say to Ethiopian when Ethiopian asked what stops him from being baptized
He said there was water there so a baptism would be possible.

If you are trying to suggest some interior meaning, get to it

What do you take from acts 8:36-37

You're serious?

So, an infant, that does not get baptized and does not have a person to read the bible to them, will go to hell if they die?

What I do feel it's logical to believe is that anyone who has no encounter with God's means of grace will not be saved by God through God's means of grace.

Why do people care so much about traditions

i know orthodox say they were told to hold to traditions however i see nopoint for what fruit do you produce by spending money on special garments and such what fruit do you produce when you dress contrary to(modest) normal

Do you think doing special rituals brings people to Christ or turns them off as they see people doing odd things not found in the Bible

What hinders me from being baptized?”

37 [a]Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.”

Wrong. Latin Catholics usually POUR, not sprinkle. (And not all Catholics are Latins. I'm an example.)

But they may immerse.

Acts 8 is just like we baptize: triple immersion.

Odd things not in the Bible?

You mean like revivals, altar calls, and invitation hymns?

I'll bet the vestments our clergy wear during services, and especially my monastic cassock, look more like what Christ and the apostles wore than what people wear to YOUR church.
