That is not an answer.

You seem to be saying that your interpretation of scripture is infallible and whatever you think the bible says is doctrine.

No. But i do trust my own judgment over the Pope, or even Mr Copeland.

But Jesus started a Church and told you to listen to it.

When do you think became OK for Christians to ignore the Church and decide for themselves what doctrines are true?

Jesus told me to follow only Him and the Apostles who followed him, the ones who bore the signs of an apostle. Why do you think Jesus gave us signs to know true apostles from false ones? Don't you think we should follow the Lords teaching on that?

Jesus told me to follow HIm. Paul Told me to follow Him. They are both leading me in the same place. I don't need to follow anyone else, and that's the Gospel truth.

What you are saying to me is actually just more bad teaching from Catholicism.

You can't know the Lord's teaching by reading the bible alone. That's why there are so many different doctrines taught by churches who believe that the bible is the word of God. Jesus gave us a Church.

Luke 10:16
Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me."

John 20
21Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.”22And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.23If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Matt 28
18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Would you like some good News? Following the Lord is not that difficult to learn. Just open up the New testament and start to follow it. The sermon on the mount is very edifying. Corinthians, Galatians and Ephesians are good as well. Just to name my favorites, that i find very educational and edifying.

They have popery's rose coloured glasses on when Catholics read scripture. They read but never understand and why should they? They firmly believe to have the fullness of truth, without knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. A great deception!

This is from Pope Clement, the fourth pope, writing in about 90 AD. He was converted by Paul in Rome and ordained as a priest by Peter. This is from his letter to the Corinthians. Please don't dismiss this without considering it.

He is describing the process of apostolic succession:

Chapter 42

The apostles have preached the Gospel to us from the Lord Jesus Christ; Jesus Christ has done so from God. Christ therefore was sent forth by God, and the apostles by Christ. Both these appointments, then, were made in an orderly way, according to the will of God. Having therefore received their orders, and being fully assured by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and established in the word of God, with full assurance of the Holy Ghost, they went forth proclaiming that the kingdom of God was at hand. And thus preaching through countries and cities, they appointed the first-fruits of their labours, having first proved them by the Spirit, to be bishops and deacons of those who should afterwards believe.....

Chapter 44

Our apostles also knew, through our Lord Jesus Christ, and there would be strife on account of the office of the episcopate. For this reason, therefore, inasmuch as they had obtained a perfect fore-knowledge of this, they appointed those presbyters already mentioned, and afterwards gave instructions, that when these should fall asleep, other approved men should succeed them in their ministry.

You are contradicting the Lord. He said that if i hear and follow His words that i build my house on a ROCk. He also said that if i keep his words that the Holy Spirit would teach me all things.

You ignored the passages I posted. They are significant.

The saddest part is that those enslaved to popery think to need their interpretation, when it is all about a restored relationship with the Father. The practical application is that the Father should be heard! Catholics however prefer to listen to carnal Frankie.

1 Tim 3:15
if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

Whoever listens to you listens to me;

No, i listen to Paul. I can Reject the Catholicism without rejecting Christ.

He teaches the Lords commands. YOu are twisting the scripture to promote Catholicism

the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

I agree. That means listening to the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit WITHIN!

I'm not twisting anything.

Please be open to the possibility that your interpretation is not flawless.

I think that the opinions of those who learned the gospel from the apostles can be very helpful when interpreting scripture.
