CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IJWTS, the outfit might suck, but be thankful you have a degree in one of about 3 fields in the US right now that is actually hiring and needing people!

IJWTS-I react to tornadoes the same way Coach does. When I was about 14/15 years old, there was a tornado sighted nearby, so I told my mom and her response was "Ok, I'm going to go take a nap." From then on I haven't really taken tornadoes seriously. We do get tornadoes around here, but the really destructive ones are in southern WI. I've seen tornadoes in person before and think that they are pretty cool looking (as long as they don't come do any damage, of course).
IAJWTS-I can't believe this is the last week of classes and it's half over already. This semester has gone by so fast. Next week is finals and I am so not looking forward to those.

there was a tornado in the city i lived in when i was 1 and a half and my mom was super preggers with my bro. He was born 4 days later.

I probably wouldn't be tornado-phobic, but I've been plagued with nightmares about them for most of my life. Dunno why. I haven't had one in a while though...thanks Jesus
