My little ones at work. How I adore them.
Brandon was upset after nap time and didn't want to eat snack. I went over to him, and asked how he was doing. He put his head down and didn't talk to me. I asked if he would like me to come back whenever he was ready to talk to me. He said yes. So I let him be. A few minutes later I notice John near Brandon. He takes out some of the things from the science center, and picks one of the books and starts reading. I asked John what he was doing. He said "I am reading to make Brandon feel better." I let him be. Then he comes back. I stated, "Thank you John for being such a thoughtful friend by taking the time to read to Brandon." He smiles. A few minutes later Brandon comes back. John looks at me with delight, "LOOK I MADE HIM HAPPY. I READ HIM THE BOOK AND NOW HE IS HAPPY."

It was so simple and so wonderful.
