I mean that as you reject evidence for evolution so flat earth folks reject evidence for a globular earth. You are as wrong as they are and for the same reasons. The only thing you have over the flat earth folks is there are more evolution deniers in existence than global earth deniers. But science isn't settled by majority popular vote.

Oh, you mean the same way you reject the opposing view...well that was enlightening. :)

What "opposing view?" Opposing the fact of evolution? Or the theory of evoution?

Maybe they need a set of heuristics that educatees like to ridicule:

1. Bible says X, science says X = go with X
2. Bible says X, science says Y = go with X
3. Bible says Ø, science says Y = go with Y
4. Bible says Ø, science says Ø = speculate

Out of curiosity, has there ever been a time where a belief or view based on religious backing has been demonstrably correct in contrast to a scientific conclusion?

I just ask, because religion has a pretty poor track record when it comes to science vs religion.

There has not.

1. Bible says X, science says X = go with X
Seems like something we all do, right?
2. Bible says X, science says Y = go with X
Tried that with Copernicus and Gallileo, how did that work out?
3. Bible says Ø, science says Y = go with Y
Seems like something we all do, right?
4. Bible says Ø, science says Ø = speculate
Seems like something we all do, right?

On the other hand, the bible says that in the last days the earth will be smitten with heat, and science says we are faced with global warming, and there are a lot of deniers of global warming out there. So it ain't necessarily true that even when the Bible and Science agree, we go with that notion.

Rev 16:8-9
8 The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire.

9 Men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.

Which side of the Rapture does this take place?

More made up junk...you can either prove something or not. If it's too hard to prove, it's not provable, simple. Please stop making up excuses for the inability to prove evolution.

No theory in science is ever considered proven.
This goes for evolution as well as atomic theory, germ theory of desease, plate tectonics, relativity etc etc etc.

How many times must it be repeated?

Come back when you can prove it, until then you are just wasting my time in saying you don't need to, you can't, or it can't be proven, whatever the excuse of the day.

Maybe you should be the one to not come back, until you understand the fundamental basics of the scientific method as well as what a theory is.

Cool, then do that.

What a strange comment when no one will step up and prove it.
It's not strange, if you understand how science works.

Theories explain facts.

There's the facts of evolution and then there's the theory of evolution, which attempts to explain the fact.

Just like there are the facts of gravity (things with mass attract things with mass; apples fall down and not up) and then there's the THEORY of gravity (mass curves space time) which attempts to explain the facts.

If the THEORY of gravity is overturned tomorrow.... apples will still fall to the ground. The facts will not go away.

First you say it cannot be proven, or something to that affect, and now you say what you posted was proof?

I'll keep an eye open for something that makes sense here but until then, you're on your own with whatever it is you're doing...

You know.... you COULD just go back and read Jimmy's post and perhaps respond to it.....

Or would that be too constructive for your taste?

Sorry Kenny, this has been explained to you again and again and again. The earliest quote below is Leslie dellow's from from 2016.

I think it is fair to say that by continuing this behaviour you are either a troll, a liar, or an idiot.

I have to wonder why you even participate in these threads apart from to troll the "evolutionists". All you are doing is reinforcing the vacuity of the creationist position, demonstrating that it literally has nothing meaningful to offer.

.........................

"For the billion and one-th time: science does NOT deal in absolute proofs. They deal in PREPONDERANCE OF EVIDENCE." Obliquant.

"The only thing that can be "proved" about evolution is the fact that it happened. How it happened is a theory which is subject to confirmation, not "proof." - Speedwell

"When it comes to explanations, science does NOT deal in absolute certainties (= "proof"). It only deals in supportive evidence.
The idea is that unless you know and understand everything there is to know and understand, there's always that chance that among the things you do not know, there is data there that shows your theory to be incomplete or plain incorrect." - Loudmouth

"In the colloquial use of the word "proof", and as used in courts of law for proving criminals are guilty, science has proved evolution to be true. " Paul of Eugene OR

"There is no such thing as absolute proof - not even in mathematics, which comes closest - but there is evidence which establishes the fact beyond reasonable doubt." - Lesliedellow

"A layman wouldn't necessarily be able to. But the fact that you are still talking about "proof" for evolution is a dead giveaway. Honestly, we've been over it and over it, "proof" is only for deductive systems like logic nd math." - Speedwell

Perfect.

Because you stumbled all over yourself there and got caught, I'm now an idiot.

Whatever you say. :)

It's not strange, if you understand how science works.

I understand how science works perfectly, it's actually quit simple.

Scientific experiment: Put hand in fire, fire burns hand, I now have proof and it is no theory that when we put out hand in the fire it will get burned.

I've put that out there before and you all couldn't stand it. You grabbed it twisted and turned it in every direction possible to make it not a science experiment at all, among other things. It was laughable. This "you don't understand science is just another excuse, and with what you did with my even very simple experiment, I'd have to wonder if some of you understand science.

And you could just read back and see where I was accused of not responding and where I gave my reasoning for not. I'm after proof of evolution.

What you want is a dog giving birth to a cat and that would disprove the theory of evolution. You're seeking proof of your misinterpretation of what evolution is. No parents ever gave birth to a child they didn't recognize. Get that? Change happens between generations, and it happens gradually over long periods of time. Even when it happens "quickly" it happens slowly compared to the lifetime of a human.

Don't fool yourself into thinking you're asking for data. If you want the data it's all over and google is your friend. We've observed speciation. There are ring species, endogenous retroviruses, confirmation from multiple disciplines... no, you don't want data, which is the proof that life evolves. You want something that doesn't exist because you're asking the wrong question.

Then, you have no proof either, correct? Or was that your proof?
