You are aware that many of "Fraud"'s claims have fallen out of favor... yes?

Of course I am aware that Freud is a Fraud. But science really does not have anything better to offer. My brother is a psychologist and I have heard him refer to himself as a rent a friend. Pay him $100 and he will be your friend for an hour.

That's the same reason people need religion, they need a friend, they need to feel that someone is watching out for them.

I read somewhere that religion is nothing more than an insurance policy that never matures, it covers everything the believer could possibly want: Live forever? you've got it, have the best seat in the house next to God? you've got it,
and if you want anything else just add it to the list and the policy will cover it.
When will I collect? when you die, how do I know I'm going to collect? just have faith.

You can collect any time you feel the need. That is the whole point of the song and the message in it for us. Science is no where near enough for me. Man just does not have enough to offer. I can not live a life that God is not a part of. At so many levels in so many ways. He is there when we need comfort, He is there when we need healing. I mean healing beyond what the body is able to do apart from God. He is there to guide us and lead us to show us the way in life. God has the answer for every question and the solution for every problem. Evolution and science are far from able to answer all the questions and science can not solve all the problems. I would reach out to man and science for help and would get my arm cut off. God is always there with the help that we need. He is always there with the love, mercy, grace and all the consideration that we need. Apart from God there are people that drink, take drugs or get involved in all sorts of high risk activities. They just do not know the love and the comfort of God and what HE is able to do in our lives.

Apart from God there are people that drink, take drugs or get involved in all sorts of high risk activities. They just do not know the love and the comfort of God and what HE is able to do in our lives.

Depends. If he were using it as an analogy to help me with a particular problem, that's fine.

It's like the rumour about Alcoholics Anonymous, where you have to accept a supreme being and the power of prayer before you can pass and get cured. If this is true, then AA is dripping with religious hocum.

That is how the AA method works.

Not unless you believe in miracles. I really do not think I will be making any more kids at this point. Although you never know. If I did get married again I would most likely get married to a younger women that is still able to have kids. But so far the wife I have has been able to chase the other women off.
