If I listen to metal, am I being a bad christian?

But yeah, I agree, even if it isn't christian you can aply some lyrics to your own life and walk with God.

I think that in MOST music...(notice the most because it doesn't apply to all) you can find a different meaning. For example I know when my non Christian family listens to Christian music it doesn't have the same meaning. HOWEVER if I listen to non Christian music I can take it in a different way. For example: Hoobastank has a song called "The Reason" Even though the song is not about God I can make it mean that for me. He is the reason to change who I used to be and to start over. I think it's a question of where you stand.

The music is a tool... and it depends on where the bands heart is, and where your heart is... So guard it well and listen to what is positive and uplifting!!!
