Didn't Christ die for all our sins?
Yes. That's why I don't want to harbor sin in my heart, I don't want to entertain sin within me, and I don't want to call sinful things entertaining. Jesus died on a cross to cleanse me of sin, not to excuse sin or to be entertained by sin.
But you are willing to condemn others to death even though Christ died for this sins. Pity.
So basically your saying that the Holy Spirit whom you know is not against the Harry Potter series, for you, he might be for someone else, is this what your saying?Well, for one, having been involved in the occult, nothing in Harry Potter is even close to reality. Furthermore, as a direct result of these movies, several of my former occult friends have recently become Christians. In talking to them, I found out that they saw a shadow of Christ in Harry. Thought that was interesting.
Finally, I firmly believe in being set free. I have been. I no longer feel the pull of that faux power, nor do I feel the pull of anything else that goes with it.
However, I also firmly believe in remembering where you came from. If you do not, you can be of no help to others in the same situation, because you've no compassion.
The "harmony" between the two comes directly from the Holy Spirit. He has freed me, and shown me how these books/movies can be used for His glory. Knowing this, I can enjoy the movies for their entertainment value, and do so the whole time thanking God that there is nothing the enemy can do that He cannot turn for good.
If another person enjoys the movies, I'm going to encourage them to continue doing so, UNLESS the Holy Spirit says differently. Why? Because though God is no respecter of persons, He is concerned with our well being. If you are weak in an area I am strong, He will impress upon you to avoid contact with this area. As I do not know you, or anyone, as well as the Holy Spirit does, I leave it to Him to lead you in the way YOU should go, according to what is best for your life.
The greatest parallel between something like Lucifarianism or the Craft and Christianity is this: Each of our walks are very individual, our relationship with our Lord is very personal, and what may be all right for me could be death for you.
Which also leads me to observe that it's interesting that Satan cannot seem to have a single, original idea- He must always pattern his abominations after something God has already done.
Is it what he hears the Holy Spirit say?......I find it strange that the Holy Spirit who is and was behind all scripture ever written has suddenly a change of heart on certain matters, that just strikes me as being very odd!As I've said before, in my particular case (and seemingly in the case of others who have posted here), it has absolutely nothing to do with "being weak in an area". Rather, as both I and others have explained, it has to do with what is ABOMINABLE TO THE LORD. At my end, I feel no need to further the discussion along these lines. I've said what I felt needed to be said and I also heard the rebuttals of others. This conversation is going nowhere and has become the exact type of waste of time that I try to avoid.
Anyhow, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions...even though I have a hard time believing one aspect of your answer.

I'm only asking if what I'm gathering from your statement is correct? Am I understanding correctly that the Holy Spirit is perfectly OK with you watching/reading Harry Potter books and movies, because you are strong in that area but possibly He might forbid someone else from watching/reading them because they are weak?......its just a simple question. I'm just asking what the Holy Spirit has said to your heart about this matterAnd with this question you're saying you don't believe in a Biblically accurate belief?
please tell everyone where someone has demanded you do anything? you can watch all the Harry Potter, twilight, vampire, werewolf, psycho slasher movies, all you want, nobody on this thread has demanded you do anything, just a few of us are wondering how witchcraft and sorcery, whether real or fake, has any place in the life of a Christian. And I find it odd that so many Christians will pick and choose which Scripture they will live by, and demand others live by, as opposed to taking the whole of the Bible as... Well, as SCRIPTURE.

No. I already addressed that aspect of his post when I noted that the Lord finds such things as are glorified in the Potter books/movies to be ABOMINABLE. The HOLY GHOST will never direct one towards or excuse that which is UNHOLY.
What I have a hard time believing is that RETS' friends became Christians because "they saw a shadow of Christ in Harry". To me, and I'm certainly entitled to my own opinion, that's as preposterous as saying that someone "saw a shadow of Christ in DIRTY HARRY". Seriously, what's the difference? Harry Potter, according to one, simply uses "the tool" of magic...as if he's somehow separate from the ABOMINATIONS which he partakes in. Well, using this same logic (?), Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood movie, for any who might not know) simply uses "the tool" of a magnum to blow away the "bad guys". What a "shadow of Christ", eh? To me, it's preposterous.
Well, I'm off to work. I'll leave this to you folks to hash out. For me, as the wording under my username states, I'll let God be true, but every man a liar. His Word is forever settled in the heavens in regards to ANY FORM OF MAGIC. I'll stick with that and also raise my own children accordingly.

like I said in an earlier post its been found people have gotten saved from going to a Marilyn Manson concert, would we then say the Holy Spirit condones Marilyn's behavior and antiGod lyrics......I would say absolutely not.No. I already addressed that aspect of his post when I noted that the Lord finds such things as are glorified in the Potter books/movies to be ABOMINABLE. the bibles laws are two periods of time, old covenant and new, some laws will always be law, such as the 10 commandments minus the sabath keeping as this was clearly fulfilled with Christ coming He is the sabath rest

All law remains law.
No worries bro....the OC Judeans often had trouble following the sayings of JesusLamby, I have to admit something...
I always have trouble following your posts.
