Needing Angels and having Angels are two different things. I am perfectly capable of dicing onions by hand, but I use a ninja because it's faster or more convenient. I am capable of living on my own, but I plan to marry because I find it appealing.

Why? that's easy, cause God wants someone to love with his love.. God is love (agape) and God needs someone to love (agape) . That's why he created angels and that's why he created us. What good is it to have all that powerful agape love that God has if he has no one to shed it on?

The four beasts are the foundations of this creation. If it werent for them, this whole thing could not exist. That is how he designed it, so yes he did need them.......Just like he needs the angels for an army. You are not understanding the context.
