If I did that, what would be the point of faith?
It would amuse me to see the list![]()
Why? You won't believe me anyway. No standard of proof is good enough for you skeptics. Now obviously I can't know that for sure, because no proof has ever been presented to you, but I can say it.
Just because the Bible says over 500 people saw whatever that verse was talking about doesn't mean it's true. Anybody could claim 500 people saw anything.
How about going to their deaths refusing to recant?
How about going to their deaths refusing to recant?
Yup. I could totally make that up and write it in a book.
But you'd only be copying the work of somebody else who wrote the story of Christ's resurrection from the dead long before you were born.
-_- you act as if there were no resurrection stories before the bible was written. Noah's Ark story is almost complete plagiarism of another, more ancient myth.

No.
If you're referring to the Epic of Gilgamesh, how is it that the Sumerian empire existed before Noah, when according to the Bible it was built by Noah's great-grandson?

Yesterday I flew to Mars on a winged blueberry. Over five hundred people saw me do it. How can you not believe me?
I mean seriously! If the Quran said 500 people saw Muhammad split the moon in half, how much more credible would that make the story? Would you convert to Islam if it said that?
No.

That wouldn't change the fact that the Sumerian text predates the bible.
I don't think it takes a Rhodes scholar to see that Nimrod wasn't even present during the Flood; but Shem ... who lived right up to the time of Jacob ... was.
As I have said before, I can envision Shem and Nimrod having one doosey of an argument over "Nimrod's garbage".
Probably going something like this:
Shem: What's this trash you wrote, Nimrod; are you okay!?
Nimrod: Don't start on me again, uncle; you've always looked down on us Hamites.
Shem: That's garbage too! You used to be a mighty hunter before the LORD, what went wrong?
Nimrod: You think you Shemites are so much better than us, just because my grandfather was cursed for what his father did to your father in that tent that day.
Shem: I watched you grow up, Nimrod, and how you used to love the LORD so much; but somewhere along the line you went astray and broke away from the rest of us and went and formed your own little empire. Well ... you do what you want, but as long as I live, I'll make sure my eyewitness testimony trumps your lies.
Nimrod: And what makes you an authority on the Flood over me?
Shem: I was there! Remember??? I was on the Ark ... you weren't!
Nimrod: Oh, that's right ... somehow I forgot ... what with there being no evidence and all.
Shem: [facepalms]
LoL isn't evolution like faith after all?
-LOOK AT ALL THE EVOLUTION AROUND US!...
-But, where?, I don't see evolution anywhere, I just see animals like they are and they give birth to their kind.
-Just because you don't see it it doesn't mean it isn't real!! Just wait millions of years and you will see it, you filthy christian retrograd!!

Actually there are quite a few similar examples. Osiris, the ancient Egyptian God, was betrayed and murdered by a friend. He rose from the dead and ascended to the heavens. It is true that there were no resurrections like Christ's before he came into the world
Odin was resurrected centuries later. I imagine there are plenty more but this is not really my areaand as far as I know there's been none since he came into the world
Yes I too have been struggling with the Poe Paradox for some time! Here's a riddle: Is an obvious Poe actually a Poe?
