My prayer is simply that God will give you the strength to resist temptation.

Trust in Him. Don't let yourself get into situations where you are tempted. Overcoming ANY temptation, sexual or otherwise, isn't easy. But with time, faith, and work, you can be victorious.

You're right.....we are just so blessed that He is a merciful God....He is Good, and he will forgive our sins if we ask for Jesus...but He never has to make anything up to us....we are the ones who really should be trying to make up it up, but we are not worthy enough, only Christ is the worthy Lamb of God.

I don't believe that the majority of gay people are born "that way." That's what psychologists used to say to protect their actions...but now they're going back on their words, and saying that it isn't a psychological thing...what I do know is that many les, and gays are out there doing that stuff because they want to experience..not because they were born with it...however, some people do feel they are "born with it."....I do believe that every one of us is capable of committing that sin...and it is still a sin...and just like all sins, without Jesus, there is no forgiveness. It's so hard to deals with these issues....but I can't lie that it's okay...God bless

Sorry everyone for not posting sooner. I've been really busy and this site slipped my mind. I wanted to thank everyone for their posts I've read them all and I have to say that there is great love in jesus (and maybe a little hate but that's understandable). I have to say however that I believe people are born with this sometimes. Yes people experiment but I knew I was like this since I was a little boy just as people don't need to decide whether or not they're straight there are some people who don't need to decide if they're gay. That's why I find it so hard to accept. I mean I love jesus with all my heart and I know he doesn't like me the way I am but he made me this way you know? Now I'm being punished for it. Sigh...

Anyways I know that I have to come to the point where I have enough determination to live the righteous life and jesus will help me with that, I know he will. Thanks again everyone for your input. I think it's time to put this thread to rest though since it's mmaking me sad to talk about it.

You don't have to keep going to those "parties". You don't have to get porn either. You can sever all this from your life, and not feed the beast within. And the Holy Spirit can help you stop being gay. Let me find my copy of "Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire." It contains the brief story of a gay male prostitute who was also a crossdresser. He came to the Lord, and even got married to a woman. Before he died of AIDS, they got his testimony on video. His name was Ricardo something. Let me find that last name and maybe you can try and find the video. There is hope for you.

I don't know what to do anymore. No matter how hard I try I just can't stop being gay. I know it's wrong, and I know the Bible says I'll be going to Hell but I can't help it! Last week end I ended up ar a gay orgy. It's like ever since I turned 18 all these new experiences have opened up and I sin more and more all the time. I must have slept with 5 guys in one night. I cry myself to sleep every night now and I think I can even feel God pulling away from me. I don't want to lose his Holy Spirit, it's the only thing holding me together! Please, please, please help me if you have any advice. I have no where else to turn.

Hi! I have good news for you. God is not pulling you away from him, he is pulling you closer to him. That is why you are crying and want to change. Take things day by day, moment by moment. Try not to put yourself in a situation where you will be tempted. Try doing different activities(such as not going to those types of parties etc.) Pray every day, every chance you get and believe that you can stop. God will make it happen. Be gentle with yourself and realize that we are all sinners. None of us are without sin. If you fall, get back on that horse and ride. Never give up. Ask God to help you. To give you the stregnth to resist any of the things you want to stop or quit. Ask him for a new heart. That's what I did and it really helped. One day I just did not like to drink anymore or snort coke. It was really strange to me when it happened. Someone offered me and I said no. Not because I was trying, but beacause I simply did not want to. Ask God to take out from your heart anything that stands in the way of you trying to do right in his eyes.

Scripture actually addresses this problem of the ability/inability to stop sinning:

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And IF the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
