They alienate many YECists. They make some TEs nervous. They spring Darwinian apologists into attack mode. I present to you....

Intelligent Design
aka the Wedge Strategy to utterly destroy civilization and replace it with a set of lego trucks and altar calls

We can and should debate their merits, but if you are a creationist who is interesting in sharing your faith (and bringing up evidence for a creator), I think their arguments are something to consider carefully.

Here is the place to post links of interest to ID blogs and anti-ID blogs. To be informed and well adjusted. To prepare our lego trucks. To take over the world. I will post again after good sleep.

My first link is one especially for the TEs to consider (because I like you).

The above links to a blog run primarily by self-described "ID evolutionists"--this is one of their mocking plays on the establishment claim that the movement should be called, not just Intelligent Design, but "ID Creationism." Well enough, that gives them an (imaginary) title to contrast with. Anyway, their archives are great, and they seek to explore issues surrounding "teleology" or design in structures, without opposing evolution per se. Dig in.

While your there check out http://www.idthink.net/ .

This is the personal archive of one great anonymous ID thinker who goes by the name of Mike Gene (MG also posts on telicthoughts). His writings are helpful for understanding the 'philosophical architecture' of the debate. (yes I just coined that phrase)

If you don't know William Dembski, then good, here is his blog. It should be pleasant for many of you. He opposes Darwinian evolution in a pretty clear way, and is interested in getting his ideas into the public schools. Therefore, he is, for some, public enemy #1. But I like his sense of humor, and someday I may even understand his mathematical underpinnings for ID theory (like in heaven). He also sports a couple Phd's and nevertheless lost his job from a supposedly Christian institution (Baylor) because of the controversy.

For the super interested here are a collection of his archived writings (I think he is trying to look 'inquisitive' and not 'constipated' in the picture.)

I followed the links and I really liked this little gem.

"Darwinian evolution is an interesting theory about the remote history of life. Nonetheless, it has little practical impact on those branches of science that do not address questions of biological history (largely based on stones, the fossil evidence). Modern biology is engaged in the examination of tissues from living organisms with new methods and instruments. None of the great discoveries in biology and medicine over the past century depended on guidance from Darwinian evolution---it provided no support. "

An open letter to the Kansas State Board of Education from Professor Philip S. Skell, Member, National Academy of Sciences

It's a refreshingly balanced treatment of the subject. On the one hand he says that religious zealots seek to abandon evolutionary theory entirely and at the other extreme there are neodarwinians who refuse to accept valid criticisms. I expect this will lead to a more balanced approach to teaching science to students, which is something the public schools need.

Personally, I never advocated the teaching of creationist in the public schools even though I am a creationism. At the same time I have had serious problems with neodarwinism and it's nice to know I'm not the only one.

Thanks for the links Matisyahu, it was interesting.
