I went to this garage sale in town yesterday and at one house I was able to find the best poem about the Lord I have read in a long time. I thought it would be nice if I shared it with all of you....
Welcome Home
I can hear a baby crying
He is crying soft and low.
He is laying in a manger
No place else for him to go.
I can hear a young boy laughing
While He's sawing on some wood
His laughter sets my heart to singing
Don't know when I've felt so good
I can hear a grown man sobbing
While He's hanging on a tree
He's saying, "Lord, Forgive them,"
But He's looking right at me
I can hear the Angels singing
Grandest song I've ever heard
"Wake up, world! The Lord is Risen!
Death's no more, it's just a word."
I can hear my Saviour calling
It's a call for me alone
I can my Saviour saying:
"Where've you been child!
Welcome Home!"
