In her defense, I can understand that—if she hasn't heard from God her whole life (or at least in a discernible fashion for a long time), she might feel that doing something like that is as useless as someone asking Thor or Osiris for help, in other words, nothing happening.

Right. Thank you, people who've heard God speak and move on their lives time and time again can't possibly understand the loneliness I feel.

I hope this message doesn't come across as anything aside from loving, however what I will say here might seem as the opposite...

I don't know you, nor have I really spoken to you at any length on here apart from the odd reply on a few threads. However, after reading much of what you have posted recently, certainly since I have made a return to these forums, I have seen a pattern to what you talk about.

Much of what you decide or ask for advice over comes from what seems a very negative place. Again I don't know much about you, yet I get the sense that whatever the topic seems to be about - the impression I get is that you are not really looking for godly answers, more that you are wanting people to agree with how you are feeling.

There have been numerous, godly, wise and gracious answers on this thread alone that tell you to seek the lord for your issues. In pretty much every response, all you have done is give a reason why this or that won't or doesn't work. Much of this advice, like I have said has been godly, wise and sensible. Yet, I don't really see you wanting to accept that. Instead you seem to just want people to listen to you.

In and of itself, that is not a bad thing, however I think people will say eventually that you need to do something about your situation...

The first thing I would say is to examine yourself, just like Paul warned us to. Is my walk right with God? Am I saved? Am I living the life God calls me to? Have I made Jesus my lord as well as my saviour? Have I come to the point where I am willing to give up this life that I want to carve out for myself and hand it to god in exchange for what his will is? Have I sought biblical counselling if there are things that I need godly advice over? How often am I reading my bible and studying it? How long do I spend with God in prayer and thank him for everything(not just come to him with a shopping list)?

Only when you have truthfully answered those questions can you then perhaps think of asking questions that you posted initially in this thread.

I hope you see and understand where I am getting at? None of us are perfect - however I see many of us, myself included at times demand for give us an easy ride when we are not promised or deserving of anything at all.

Life tests me as well. In the end however all things work good (Romans 8:28), and im stronger because of it. Pauls example has been a blessing too, he says that when hes weak hes strong. He says that he delights in necessities, hardships and persecution too, because when hes weak hes strong. It took me a long time to learn how to find the Lords strength. I guess after everything else failed, thats when God was all thats was left.

Otherwise, circumstances can be as positive as they want to be, but your brain and thoughts are so burned out, there is no spark. A depressed brain is like a car without an engine. No matter how full you fill that gas tank, it's not going to run. That's been my experience.

That's the thing my situation isn't that positive, I'm about to lose my job ( I keep bouncing from job to job because I'm too slow to keep up..I'm not fast paced --) I've never really had friends ( having friends and a social life make a tremendous impact on our mental health...when a friend is down that other friends instinct is to take them out and help them feel better..,without that friend the other would just be alone and possibly consumed by what's bothering them) I've been trying to get my license, but things come up/get in the way. From a car being repossed, car breaking down, parents not having the time to take me.last week I asked a grandparent and they flaked on me...
So I.am.trying. nothing is working.

Because I'm sure if I had friends, a stable job , I would be so happy...in all honesty I wouldn't be on this site probably...and if I were here it would be so sparingly.

Idk... I keep reading don't forsake the assembly. Same reason I'm trying to pray more because people say you know as a Christian my life should be this difficult so..I'm just trying to fix it...I guess.

God will meet you where you are at. You don't need church to get to god. Just open up your bible andpour your heart out to god and he will be there. Church doesn't always get you closer to god. Spending time with him and in the word will though.

Some of things that you are trying to fix lay down and let god fix them for you.

I'm not sure I'm going to word this right but their are alot of people in this thread that have showed they do care about you and what happens to you. I've seen similar threads not get the kind of responses you are getting. Hopefully this is showing you that alot of people care about you. I know its not the real life friends you are wanting but it may be what you need right now.

I disagree with your statement that God brings pain and suffering. The world and it's people bring us pain and suffering. God is pure love and does not want us to be unhappy. Pain and suffering is a part of every life, but God's love can help us cope with it, through His loving family, the church.

God does say in the Bible that he brings peace and calamity, and at least two points that I can think of in the Old Testament say that there is no evil in a city that God hasn't done, and at one point he sent an evil spirit.

It wasn't until the New Testament that this perspective on God changed, where people changed their viewpoints to see God as being all loving and all good, and evil being attributed to either Satan or humanity.

That part right there that I bolded is precisely one of the reasons why I've begun to doubt Christianity more (another major point being the Bible itself). Such thinking is nothing but detrimental and harmful at best and insensitive and hateful at worst.

Good and bad things happen to Christians, Jews, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, pagans, etc. There's no disrimination on who suffers more than anyone else. Good and bad things happen to everyone.

My friend snapping did it for me. Its like God never wants to see me happy, I've been lonely all my life...I'm just like if you can't find it in your heart to give me a friend to keep me company ...could you yourself at least talk to me.

I've asked for years to hear God speak to me or feel his presence...something! And I got nothing...

Nothing. I asked , I tried..and still nothing.

I try to do the right thing, with my aunt at her church...but I just got treated badly for it... Even when we moved out of the hotels my mom got in a freaking car accident...

And my only friend who I loved so much descended into madness, 3 years...gone just like that. ( Why let my friend descend into madness? Why couldn't he be blessed with a sound mind like alot of people? Why? I tried to make friends with a girl at work and she hasn't t3xted back,...so its like I can't have anything )

Why does God just pick on some people?

Why is God so jealous he can't stand to see me genuinely happy..with or without him... I tried to get close but he does nothing...so its like I can't have anything... Not HIM, not friends, not a job...nothing...

What's the point? And I hear about my other f4lends and how well they're doing ..one is going to make 1000 a week.. And she's younger than me... ..

Be patient until you experience the death of your body. That's the moment your spirit is saved from it before waking up in your new bodies on the new earth. Man was created in the image of God and created both male and female so you will wake up with a partner of the opposite sex. You will be eternal partners so you won't understand what being lonely is.

You will never have to find a partner and get married or risk getting divorced like what's happening in this first temporary generation. A created man only got one body after Adam and Eve began mating so Cain woke up in the world without an eternal partner. That's because his body was formed from the information of both male and female. So genetically speaking, all the bodies on earth are formed from both male and female genetics. This will end when your body perished in this generation. Everything will be straightened out in the next generation after Satan and the beast have been destroyed.
